The one to buy.

Steering shaft is awesome! This is for Power Steering and porly labled as such, I bought the wrong one and when I called, because I installed it to find out it was the wrong one there was no attempt to make it right, had to order lower part from manufacturer for an additional $80 wish the website clarified that there were two options!

Tight tolerance. No slack. Very easy install and look good too.

Received item and it was installed by the shop I took the truck to.

The part fixed the annoying rattle in my steering column which hasn't come back since I installed it.

Installation couldn't have been easier in my 79 cj7. Seems like a quality product

Was skeptical at first as to how easy it'd be to install the steering shaft. Removal of the old shaft damaged the splines on the steering column end... Cleaned the old splines with a file and with some coaxing, it went on like it was supposed to. It appears that the u-joints are replaceable should they ever need be but as it is such a stout built part, I don't foresee the need. Replacing the shaft cleared up 90% of the slop that was present due to worn rag joints, the rest is obviously due to worn tie rod ends. I will recommend the shaft to ANYONE experiencing sloppy steering where their vehicle needs a heavy duty shaft.

Sure, I could have spent less, and purchased a junk yard product, or a aftermarket original-appearance piece........but I would have gotten a sub-par, questionable piece for an application that is safety-critical, and where close tolerance makes all the difference in steering input and feedback control. OUTSTANDING PRODUCT QUALITY, DESIGN, ENGINEERING and PRICING. UN-MATCHED VALUE..!!

Well made, tight fitting, better than my stock cj7 steering shaft. No play now.
