Record Wear

I have a F350 King Ranch Dually and have 138,400 Miles on my original factory BF Goodrich 17" tires, they have never been off the truck to date, and still going. Never rotated, never anything done to them except 1 plug from a nail hole. Maybe have 5,000 miles life left then time for new ones.

Great all around truck tire

I am starting my 8th set of these tires that I have had on my 2 3/4 TN Ram trucks. 100,000 miles / set. Great load range E tires that ride smooth on the pavement and still perform well in all weather conditions, as well on gravel roads. I hope they never discontinue this tire!

Great tread life on a dually

I’m on my second set of these for my 2017 F350 DRW. These replaced the factory tires that were underwhelming to say the least. The steers lasted about 70k miles, and the drives gave nearly 85k miles. The truck spends 90%+ of its life with a 20k lb. gooseneck trailer hooked to the back of it, much of that off paved roads, and some of the off road is severe. I have about 30k on the second set of steers and about 15k on the drives, and they’re wearing great.

Great Tires

I'm on my third set of BFG 'Rugged Trail' tires on my '06 Toyota Tacoma with 170K miles accumulated to date. I really like these tires. I average 60K - 65K miles per set of tires.

Great looking tires

These tires came on my used 2002 Sequoia. They were manufactured in 2008. 11 years ago. Still have usable tread but starting to dry rot a little in between the tread. When the time comes, I’ll definitely consider another set of these although they’re hard to find locally. I have put about 20,000 miles on them since I got the vehicle and have had no issues in rain. Have taken several road trips and they don’t make a lot of noise considering the 275/65/18 size. Very wide tires. Love the way they look.

BEST

Have a 2013 Tacoma. 125K miles just now getting my third set. Plus 60K on each set is hard to beat. Only trouble I have is finding them.

Must have hit the lottery with my Rugged Trail T/A

I have read a lot of reviews on the Rugged Trail T/A tires, and to say the reviews are mixed is an understatement. To the point that I must have hit the lottery with the OEM tires that came on my F150 with HDPP. The size of my OEM tires is LT245/75R17 LRE. Apparently, these tires come in two different tread designs, but the design on mine is the "dog bone" design that the KO2's come in. I just ordered a set of KO2's to replace the OEM Rugged Trail's on my truck. I have 71,250 miles currently on my truck.

TIME TO GET ANOTHER SET

My F250 came with these tires and they have been good to me for 4 years and 54,000 miles. I'm shopping for exact replacements because I liked the way they wore and rode. There is still a lot of tread left but they are aging out and I need a dependable tire because I tow a 8000 lb travel trailer. They don't seem to get very good traction on anything other than a solid surface with my long 4x2 truck. I don't use my truck for off road use.

Pretty good tires

I got these on my Tacoma from the factory and I was pleasantly surprised. I currently have 52K miles on these tires with no complaints. They work well on sand, loose gravel , snow, wet conditions etc. The road noise is not too bad compared to other BFG tires I have owned .

Best Heavy Duty Pickup Tires

I'm on my second set of Rugged Trail tires on my Dodge Ram 2500 Heavy Duty 4x4. These are without a doubt the best combination of traction and highway performance possible. I got 70,000 miles out of the first set and may get more out of the second set that are pushing 52,000 miles now. The tread design seems to be a less aggressive version of the worlds best all terrain tire, the BFG All Terrain. Something about that tread design makes them the best for traction and wear. I have a combined 121,000 miles on Rugged Trail tires with no problems and no complaints. I still have at least 20,000 miles left on these and my tire guy told me today that I couldn't do any better than these for millage. These things could fail from aging before they wear out!

Great tires

Came on my 03 explorer, put 60,000 miles on them, 2 blizzards & they stuck like glue. Put another set on & got 58K miles, then put them in Load E on my Chevy Avalanche, same story.... Not a mudder, but great for dirt road camping & snow.

These are the best tires I have ever owned

I bought my F150 new in 2013. It is an Ecoboost Lariat (Crew Cab) with the Max Trailer Tow package and the Heavy Duty Payload package. I ordered the truck from the factory with these options because I occasionally tow a tractor that all in with the trailer weighs approximately 10k lbs and may have passengers as well. The heavy duty payload package means that you get LT rated tires, rather than P, to accommodate heavy payloads. I went online to about 20k miles ago because I was curious if others have had the same experience I have. At 90k + miles the tires were still in great shape. To confirm, the model tires I have are the Rugged Trail T/A LT245/75R17. I was surprised to see more than a few negative reviews. Not sure if these are due to having different model tires from what I have or not. At 113k miles on my truck and with the original tires, they are still in great shape. I just had my inspection today and passed. My mechanic and I have talked before today about the tires, and he can't believe I have this many miles on them. I'm attaching pictures as well to show what they look like. I use my truck for around town driving/to and from work, with towing 3-4 times a year for about 1000 miles, and going off-road at the beach every year for a week. I rotate my tires every 10k-15k miles. I have had other BF Goodrich tires that became unusable at the expected 50k/60k miles - such as the All Terrains style ones I had on my Ford Ranger in the 1990s/early 2000s. Part of that my have been due to my not knowing how to check for alignment issues and/or rotate the tires regularly. That being said, these tires surprise even my mechanic and mechanic-friends. I've started to look online to buy these again, thinking that I may want to pre-emptively replace them before any possible winter weather, but functionally there isn't any reason to do so immediately.

Great Tires

I bought Ram 3500 4WD and have 60000+ miles on them. I have kept them rotated and they all have even wear. I haul 10-12K lbs on trailer about 5 times per year. They are at the end of their life so looking to replace with the same tires.

Definitely would buy again

50+ miles a day back and forth to work. Have had 2 sets and both lasted 4 years +. Excellent traction in the snow. Drove in 8+ inches and the SUV never even hesitated to go.

I would buy them again

These tires are OEM on my 2014 F150 Supercab 4x4 XLT long bed truck which has the HD package. I use the truck about 1/2 the time towing a travel trailer. I do not go off-roading. I have used it to back up a rain slick grassy hill into my camping site at home football games. They are not noisy, since the tread design isn't super aggressive. After 42k miles, the tread is still in great shape. Just from tread wear, I'd say I have another 25k + miles left before I have to replace these. At this point, I will the same or similar BF Goodrich tire.

On the 3rd set of tires...

These tires have got to be the best tires for a heavy duty truck ever made! Truck is on it's third set as of 1 Aug 2017. These were the same tires that came with the truck when new. The originals got 74,927 miles out of them. Second set was purchased in May 2014 and those lasted 75,523 miles. 3rd set got a new set of wheels as well. So the real truth will be how well this combo lasts. Bottom line, these tires have performed EXCELLENT in all driving conditions from the mountains of Montana and Colorado to the daily desert highway driving and desert hills and mountains of Nevada. Rain or snow, they have performed great! The second set saw about 5000 miles of pulling a toy hauler. RECOMMENDATION: Please continue to manufacture these tires and consider larger sizes in a LOAD RANGE E. I would like to move up to a 285/70R17, but don't quite care for a mud or all-terrain tire.

Best tires ever

Best tires ever, factory installed on my 2013 Ford F-150. I am going to get over 100,000 miles out these tires, 4 years, 100,000 miles and not one flat tire. I'm ordering another set.
