I feel comfortable enough with this product to store a $1000 gun, iphone and my wallet in it. This is with a topless/doorless jeep. Install was easy enough. The locking mechanism is better than tuffy's on the inside (the latch won't get blocked by something) though I sometimes have problems with it on the outside, key goes in crooked and stuff.

This is a great secure storage option. When I'm at the beach or campsite, all of my valuables are nice and safe. It's also a great place to securely store your firearm and still keep your vehicle unlocked for campside access.

The box is great as an in vehicle safe once the lock is replaced.

Bought this to keep my pistol in when I can't carry it into an establishment. The lock is a little sticky, but not terrible. Better than loose I guess. Lined the entire interior of the drawer with auto carpet to keep my gun from getting banged around. Holds a full size 1911 nicely

Easy to install and works well. Good product for the money. Always great to have secure storage available in a topless vehicle. The only downside that I have encountered is that the storage box rattles when driving. Minor irritation that might be corrected with strategic placement of some foam tape.

Great safe. Stays hidden well. My one complaint is the key sometimes doesn't engage the lock property and will not open. I have to take it out and put it back in. It has gotten better over time so I think it just needs to be broken in. Installation can be difficult since the front seat bolts are extremely tight. A breaker bar would be best, but I was successful with a socket wrench and rubber mallet.

Good, secure storage. Installation SHOULD be easy, but factory torque on seat bolts makes it very difficult to loosen. My suggestion would be to add something in the instructions on the possible need for an impact wrench to loosen the seat bolts (that's what I had to do). Otherwise it is what it is...under seat lockable storage. I replaced the flimsy keys with sturdier metal as the supplied set were prone to bending.

Take the bolts out of the front of the seat, put this under, put the bolts back in through the holes on the box and the seat, tighten, done. But the bolts are TIGHT. You'll need something for torque. I put my wrench in a 20" piece of lead pipe and it came right out.

The storage box works great, had a little difficult time installing it because of the bolts but other then that it went in smooth. I store my wallet, cell, and most important my handgun when I go into places that I cannot carry it in. A must have for any CHL holders.

I use it to lock up my wallet and my gun when I go to the beach with the top down. I replaced the carpet inside the draw with a non slip mat.
