Solid Bumper

I'm really happy with the look of this bumper. Installation was relatively straightforward, though the directions it comes with are pretty bare-bones. Youtube helped out though. I really like that it comes with marker lights. Splicing them into my existing marker lights was easy with the provided hardware. The wiring connections for the marker lights are not water tight. One of my lights was shorting out following a snowstorm. Sure enough, there was moisture in the connection. I've since wrapped the connection and its working reliably. I look forward to adding some round lights to this in the future. TBD on whether I will be able to fit 6" rounds or if I will have to go with 5".

You will be pleased with this bumper.

Pros: 1. This is a very stout, great looking bumper with turn signals and a wiring harness included. When installed, it feels extremely well built with high quality steel. 2. It has the mount points for up to 4 accessories. 3. You don't need to relocate your horns with this bumper and it comes with a mounting plate for your vacuum canister. Super easy! Cons: 1. The mount points for the D-Ring Shackles are not even half as thick as the beefier smittybilt bumpers, which makes me question how much tension they could actually take. I called ARB and they don't keep technical specifics available to their sales people which is something they should really have at the ready for serious customers. Id imagine standard D-Rings would also wobble horizontally when driving. 2. They only include text based descriptions of bolts and brackets on their instructions, a pictured parts inventory would help the novice DIY customer alot. 3. Also, they don't tell you that you need to remove any nutcerts on the front frame before installing the bumper. 4. The bumper's pre-drilled holes which require you to drill the frame to 1/2 inch are not 1/2 inch themselves which makes it really difficult to get the threads of the bolts started into the "plate - captive nut assy". Drill these just a touch wider than 1/2 inch until the bolts slide in smoothly and you will save frustration. The nuts on the plates have to be angled just perfect to thread them properly. Other observations: Despite ARB's push to use Warn winches, you can us another brand winch with the same mounting bolt pattern. Beware though that this bumper has a custom molded front bracket to mount your fairlead and the smittybilt wont fit, its about 1/2 an inch too short, so you must buy a Warn roller fairlead which can be pricy. Also, hawse fairleads will not fit this bumper properly without heavy modification of the hawse fairlead. It took a friend and I about 4 hours to fully install this bumper which includes mounting the winch. Overall I do recommend this bumper, I absolutely love the design with the full brush guard. Buy the bumper from the guys at 4WP, they have the best price on the internet for this bumper and they are great people who will bend over backwards to help you out.
