Reviews: AIRAID Jr. Air Intake Kits

I used the Airaid junior system on my 18 Silverado and this new one on my 2020 Trail Boss 6.2. this plus freeing up the exhaust it the best upgrades for these trucks. Factory systems are very restrictive. Definitely adds hp and torque and a tad better fuel mileage. Also kudos to 4WP for super fast shipping!

great part very easy to install took me about a half hour hardest part was taking the beauty cover off the engine on my silverado. my gas mileage went up about 1 mpg for city driving which i think is pretty good and i did notice a little bit more power. does make quite a bit of noise from the engine compartment if your on the throttle if your worried about it.

On the older model Chevys getting rid of the factory intake tube made a lot more sound but on the new generation it doesn’t really do anything. It does make the engine bay look cleaner but not worth the money. The factory intake is so well built I would spend my money on something else. I wouldn’t recommend this product to a friend.

Bolted this on my 2008 silverado to help improve fuel economy. Simple install with basic tools took 20 minutes. I don't know about a hp increase but I've noticed improved throttle respo and slightly less than 1 mpg improvement in mileage. Its pretty quiet. You get some engine ressonance at times but it is slight. None of the sucking sound you get with the open cone filters.
