Installation wasn't bad at all. Got it for a descent price. Build quality seems really good. I bought this to replace a Traveller 12,000# winch from Tractor Supply, and this is a beast compared to it! I use my winches for tree work, and I did a single line pull, and had a tree that was about 8 inches diameter snap off about a foot and a half from the ground without a struggle. I try to get roots and all but it didn't fair so well that time. It seems to reel in at about twice the speed of the TS winch. Hopefully, with the forged gears this one holds up to my torture. Pretty good looking winch, with an illuminated bar on the front of the control box, along with a wireless/wired remote. The hook is pretty big also. The synthetic rope is very light and easy to work with. The cables are a little short, so if you have over about 6' to go you'll need to get different wires, but overall I love it so far!They could improve it with a led bar over the spool. Night time work you have to use the integrated flashlight to see the spool.
