Thanks for the question Vic, with a 2" rear coil spacer on an FJ a longer shock is recomended but not required. If you run the stock shock your travel will be limited by 2". ProComp has some inexpensive, quality shocks available that will accomadate a 2" lift. here's a link to the shock
Will the shocks need to be replaced with longer shocks? I have a 97 grand Cherokee Laredo. The car right now is stock and will not be used for off roading just want to install a larger tire. Trying to get to 31x10.50r15
