Easy install and looks great
Install in total took about 4 hours, and half of that time was spent fighting rusty bolts or wiring up the winch. The instructions made it easy to follow the steps but the torque numbers were a bit of a mystery so I just used Toyota’s specs. It looks great on the truck and the access holes for the winch make operating it super easy.

Great Plate/Solution
Bought a Smittybilt winch for a non Smittybilt bumper. Neither winch nor bumper had a spot to attach the fairlead. This was the perfect solution with a factory quality fit. Even came with longer bolts. If you buy Smittybilt winch with a non Smittybilt bumper this plate is a must have.

Everything fits
The winch plate bolted right up how it was supposed to. The only problem I had was that it wasn't 100% compatible with the heavy duty steering gear box that I have installed. That's ok though, I got it to work just fine.

Q: Does this mounting plate come with all hardware necessary to mount behind the stock steel bumper on a 2021 Gladiator Rubicon? Answer this question
A: This part is designed to work on one of Warn's rock crawler bumpers. This will not work at all with the factory bumper. For the factory bumper, you would use the same 101255 however it will not work with an 8274 winch.
