These were replacement hubs. The first set was installed in 1986 when the truck was new. The only reason they were replaced was because the u-joint on the axle went bad and the wobling axle wiped out the axle bearing which chewed the axle. I noticed some wear on the inner corner of the lockout hub during the repair and was not sure if it would be a problem. To play it safe I choose to replace them. I have never had any problems with the hubs.

5.0Ford Hub Fix
These Warn hubs are cheap in price and easy to install. It took longer to remove the wheel than to install these hubs. Very easy to use and easy to read unlike stock ford hubs. Good stuff Warn. I have no complaints.

These hubs work great and a very easy swap. My son and I spent an hour in half and they worked perfect the first time. Very simple instructions.
Had a hard time finding the correct spindle nut socket.
I have a 2004 f250 6.0 Harley Davidson edition...the hub I have now is held on with a snap ring ...will this replace that whole thing or is this different. also if I buy this it it just a manual hub now or will it still work automatically

The WAR11690 is held in by a snap ring and will replace the whole factory hub. The Warn hub is manual and not automatic. Warn also offers a Premium Manual Locking Hub Kit part # WAR38826 which has all metal parts and is just slightly more money.
Both Warn Locking Hub Kits come as a pair of hubs. Thank You for your question.

In 1948, Arthur Warn founded Warn Industries to construct locking hubs for surplus World War II Jeeps. Ten years later, the Warn winch was manufactured to fill the need for a reliable recovery tool to aid off-roaders stuck in challenging situations. Since then, Warn has grown to offer a wide range of gear with the hallmarks of durability and affordability. 1988 spawned the aftermarket industry's first ATV winch and today their PowerSports line of winches ranks among the most esteemed in the industry and jeepers call on Warn for electric, hydraulic and severe duty components that get the job done.
