Most of the after market manual locking hubs have 6 mounting bolts. The difference in the number of bolts is not of concern as they are bolting to the supplied inner parts the are unique to the brand hubs you go with. A: Hi Jake Warn does not make a set of locking hubs for a 1998 Ford ranger. They actually stop in 1997. Check to see if yours is not a 1997 design that has a long gray cap that sticks out through the wheel that says 4x4 on it. if not we will have to try to get a set of AVM hubs. Thank You

A: Hi Rusty The WAR9790 locking hubs will not replace your style hubs.The 1987-1988 F-150 and Bronco that are equipped with the hat style (Bronco II) locking hubs are very rare. I know of no manufacture that makes a replacement hub for them. All the service parts for them are obsolete from Ford. i would recommend you find a set of knuckles out at the wrecking yard and replace them with the more common and heaver duty units. Thank You
