Spydura synthetic winch rope is constructed of a unique ultra high molecular weight polyethylene material and offers high abrasion resistance and tremendous tensile strength. Coated with high temperature urethane, equipped with a temperature resistant sleeve on the first layer and a ballistic nylon sliding sleeve, Spydura synthetic winch rope provides extreme protection against wear and abrasion. The unique self-tightening rope attachment designed to hold the rope secure on the winch drum makes this exclusive offering from Warn ideal for pushing the limits on the trail.
I purchased this rope to go with my Warn 8274 and it's great. It compliments the look and function of the winch.
Q: Why is a hawse fairlead preferred over a roller? isn't rolling friction less than sliding friction? Answer this question
A: You use Hawse fairleads with synthetic line because otherwise it has a tendency to get stuck in the corners between the rollers and ruin the line.

A: People have their own preferences, but yes typically the roller fairlead is a go to because of the less friction.

Q: Will this work with a Warn 9.5 CTi winch? Answer this question
A: Warn will not endorse the use of synthetic rope on previously/originally steel cable winches. As a policy statement, they advised that steel cable often damages the drum in ways that are not an issue for steel cable, but can do damage to a synthetic rope. Also, they cannot endorse the attachment method as they are difference for steel cable versus synthetic rope.

Q: I have a Ramesy 9500 winch. It had 105' of 5/16" steel cable on it. I want to put 100' of the Warn Spydura 3/8" on it. Do you think I will have a problem with that? Answer this question
A: You should be fine. The Winch manufacture will have more information on the drum size.

A: Thanks for the inquiry Jody, the Warn Spydura Synthetic Winch Rope part # WAR87915 this can go on your winch, however your winch came with 125' of wire rope, this is the longest one we offer, you'll need a hawse fairlead part # WAR73850.

In 1948, Arthur Warn founded Warn Industries to construct locking hubs for surplus World War II Jeeps. Ten years later, the Warn winch was manufactured to fill the need for a reliable recovery tool to aid off-roaders stuck in challenging situations. Since then, Warn has grown to offer a wide range of gear with the hallmarks of durability and affordability. 1988 spawned the aftermarket industry's first ATV winch and today their PowerSports line of winches ranks among the most esteemed in the industry and jeepers call on Warn for electric, hydraulic and severe duty components that get the job done.
