WARN incorporates their off-road experience to deliver a tough, durable well thought out bumper. Tapered ends increase approach angles, pre-drilled holes for auxiliary lights, front clevis mounts and rear 2 inch receiver hitch to increase recovery options. Bumpers are laser cut using 3/16 inch thick steel and CNC formed, black powder coat adds the finishing touches. Winch mounts sold separately.
The Warn 87700 Stubby bumper is serious bumper. Good construction, good welds, clean powercoated finish, etc. The underside mounting holes didn't quite line up right, but all else made for an easy install.
Will say that this bumper is a little wider than the typical stubby front bumpers that stop at the edge of the frame rails. Its really more of a mid-width bumper & is 43" wide.
Look, fit, finish are all pretty darn good. Like the bumper so far & can't wait to get a new Warm M8000 winch on top of it.

Overall, was very disappointed with this bumper. The bolts on the bumper did not line up with the factory bolt holes (off about 1/2") which required new holes to be drilled. When relayed to customer service, I was informed this was "impossible as it is made by machines". The vacuum canister relocate bracket was not included. Customer service informed me they did not want to go back and include these in each box for 2012+ Wranglers, therefore some have them and some do not. I was then sent a vacuum canister relocate bracket for the wrong bumper, delaying the install about 2 weeks. Nuts, bolts and washers were cheap. Overall, EXTREMELY disappointed and will not be purchasing another WARN product.

Great Wheeling Bumper

This bumper fit good and was easy to install. And the good thing is it is made in the USA.

Installation fairly smooth, got caught up a couple of times with the chicken or the egg scenerio. overall very pleased with construction and appearance.

Easy to install.
Great bumper, strong and not too heavy like some front bumpers.
I have the grill protection bar, the winch plate, and a winch it all
works well. I would have prefered to not have to buy a seperate
winch plate. But it does make for a lighter bumper if you don't
have a winch. Could not be easier to install!
Once the bumper is installed, can a winch be installed while bumper is still mounted on the truck? Or does the bumper have to come off to mount a wench?
Flip from Corona, CA. on
The bumper needs to be off the vehicle to install the winch. Thank you for the question.

In 1948, Arthur Warn founded Warn Industries to construct locking hubs for surplus World War II Jeeps. Ten years later, the Warn winch was manufactured to fill the need for a reliable recovery tool to aid off-roaders stuck in challenging situations. Since then, Warn has grown to offer a wide range of gear with the hallmarks of durability and affordability. 1988 spawned the aftermarket industry's first ATV winch and today their PowerSports line of winches ranks among the most esteemed in the industry and jeepers call on Warn for electric, hydraulic and severe duty components that get the job done.
