The WARN Premium Hub is a no-compromise hub designed for the hardcore off-roader or truck owner who will accept nothing less than the industry standard in performance. The all metal construction and Zink Aluminum Alloy dial ensure years of reliable functioning. This dial requires a full 9/10ths of a turn to ensure positive engagement of the inner drive gear to the clutch ring. To make sure they stay engaged, WARN premium hubs use a thick internal wave spring and heavy dial detents. We know our premium hubs will be used hard, so we build them to last. We're so confident, that all WARN hubs are covered by a lifetime limited warranty.
I’ve never had an issue with Warn products before but this set of hubs I got, came apart on me right when I needed 4 wheel drive and left me stranded. I put my stock hubs back and maybe down the road I’ll try a set of Warn hubs again
Nice hubs, they look good and are a great upgrade for my 44 year old truck.

The OEM auto/manual hubs are held in place with a snap ring. Will this snap ring hold the Warn #38826 locking hubs in place?? Is it a simple remove the OEM hubs and slide on the Warn hubs?? Thank you, John Answer this question

Q: Hi this question is going to sound strange... I have a 77 power wagon. There is something wrong with the front diff. Drove it back from town the other day and the pumpkin was steaming.. lube was fine. I want to install these and remove the front drive shaft to take the front diff out of the equation till i can save my pennys to get the diff. rebuilt...... Will it work ? and will they fit.....Thanx Jeff Answer this question
A: Hi Jeff Well this answer is going to be long. In 77 Dodge had two types of front knuckles on their full time 4x4 trucks. you need to look to see if you have a chrome cap on a long hub that stick through the rim about 4-5" or a shallow ring with a large nut in it. if you have the chrome cap you can use the locking hubs and remove the shaft BUT if you have the 203 transfer case you will need to get a part time kit or run the transfer case in High Lock for the vehicle to move. if not it will just spin the front out put and the truck will not move. Now if you have the big nut style hub you will need a conversion kit to install locking hubs. if your truck is a 3/4 ton you can get the knuckles out off a Chevy or Ford to convert to locking hubs as the Mile Marker conversion kits are discontinued. Being that it is winter the reason your front diff was steaming may just be because it is warm and got wet?

Q: My '04 Ford F250 has auto locking front hubs. Someone already asked if a conversion kit was required for these hubs and the answer was no. It looks like these hubs need to be locked manually and there is no way to make them operate as auto locking like the OEM hubs. Is this correct? If they can work as auto locking, is there a conversion kit required and what part number is that. If no kit is required, how would the hubs be operated since they seem to have only two settings, lock and free? Answer this question
A: Hello They are only manual locking you need to get out and lock them in. To get automatic hubs you have to go back to Ford.

Q: I have an 89 W250 with Dana 44 front but has vacuum coupler on left axle. It does not uncouple the hubs so the axles are always turning. It has chrome caps on the hub ends so I think it has the internal splines and axle shaft splines. Can I use these to uncouple the axles from the hubs for less drag? Will I need other parts? Thank you, Answer this question
A: Hello Yes this is the hub you would need for your front end. Some of our customers lock the center vacuum coupler and just the hubs.

Q: I have a 2005 f-350 ford dually, crew cab diesel. it has factory automatic/manual front hubs that allow the entire front axle to include the drive shaft to turn. will this warn hub assembly completely disengage the front wheels? Also are there any other parts needed for installation? Answer this question
A: Hi David If your front axle is turning there is a problem with your factory hubs they are free wheeler s and should not turn the front. many times the vacuum lines to them are clogged or come undone please check them and service the locking hubs. if they have been greased they will slowly turn the front axle.. at this time there are no aftermarket locking hubs available for the 2005 and newer trucks as they are 35 spline and not 30 spline like the earlier trucks. Thank You

Q: will this work on a dodge 2500 diesel 2005 . and do you need coverision kit Answer this question
A: Hi Donnie Unfortunately it is a lot hardener to install locking hubs on modern trucks than it was decades ago. Your 2005 Dodge will require a Free Spin Kit to convert from the unit bearing design to a real spindle with replaceable bearings to in stall locking hubs. Dynatrac makes a kit for your truck http://jo.my/t8i904 to do this. Thank You

Q: I have a 1977 Dodge Ramcharger, with a Dana 44 front axel which has a full time engagement of the front axel. Will this fit, and what other items might I need? Answer this question
A: Hi 77 Beast Your year truck does not have a conventional hub like the the earlier trucks do and require a complete conversion kit to install the hubs as well as a conversion kit for the 203 transfer case as well. Mile marker stopped making their MIL602 kit some years ago and i know of nobody else making one. normally we would recommend changing the knuckles out to either the earlier factory locking hub trucks or off a ford truck but your year has an odd wheel bolt pattern that will not match any thing else. now would be the time to consider an 8 lug conversion and swap in some 3/4 ton or 1 ton axles out of an Dodge or Chevy. Thank You

Q: I have a 2014 dodge 5500 wondering if you make a kit that will fit? If so what does it all include? Answer this question
A: Hi Banjo Unfortunately you cannot just install hubs i on new trucks like you could back in the good old days. Your 2014 Dodge will require a Hub Conversion Kit like the Free Spin Kits from Dynatrack. Dynatrac does not make a kit for the Dodge newer than 2012 as of yet. and the ones they do are for the 8 lug single wheel. You need to look at your front axle to see if your unibearing is 8 lug with a 10 lug adapter. Thank You

In 1948, Arthur Warn founded Warn Industries to construct locking hubs for surplus World War II Jeeps. Ten years later, the Warn winch was manufactured to fill the need for a reliable recovery tool to aid off-roaders stuck in challenging situations. Since then, Warn has grown to offer a wide range of gear with the hallmarks of durability and affordability. 1988 spawned the aftermarket industry's first ATV winch and today their PowerSports line of winches ranks among the most esteemed in the industry and jeepers call on Warn for electric, hydraulic and severe duty components that get the job done.
