Loved by off-roaders who compete, it's our fastest winch. No-load retrieval speed for the M8274-50 is 79.3 feet per minute, and that's not all. At 150 ft. of 5/16" cable, it also has a very long line capacity. Its unique spur gear drivetrain and upright design are totally rugged. Its braking system delivers smooth operation with superior heat dissipation. Roller fairlead, remote control on 12-ft. lead, free spool clutch and battery cables are included.
Nice upgrade to the grand daddy of them all. Upgraded motor and relay
I had two of this nice winches, with no problems what so ever!. Pulls my 1979 Chevy k-30 out of anything, and drags out anyone stuck! The best I have ever seen.
Heavy Duty use 30+ years old 1978
I just purchased a unit that was manufactured in 1987 and was all original. I opened it up, changed the oil, and reassembled. It operates perfectly so far, and after reading multiple online reviews, forum threads, and winch shoot out articles, it is apparent that this is probably the best winch Warn ever made. Yes, the price is on the high end for similarly spec'd winches, but if I can buy one that is 24 years old and still works like new, you should expect decades of service out of this product.
Mine is an older version of the same model, but this winch is a beast. Pulls my jeep out just fine...go figure, but has pulled three trucks at once with no problem. Would definently recommend it to anyone
Q: What is the depth of this winch? Answer this question
A: Looking at the winch from the front of its mounting. (right) The distance from the mounting surface to the back of the End Support Assembly is 8 1/2-inches. (left) The distance from the mounting surface (front) to the back of the PAWL Assembly is also 8 1/2-inches. Consideration should be given to the routing of the electrical power cable connected to the winch motor.

In 1948, Arthur Warn founded Warn Industries to construct locking hubs for surplus World War II Jeeps. Ten years later, the Warn winch was manufactured to fill the need for a reliable recovery tool to aid off-roaders stuck in challenging situations. Since then, Warn has grown to offer a wide range of gear with the hallmarks of durability and affordability. 1988 spawned the aftermarket industry's first ATV winch and today their PowerSports line of winches ranks among the most esteemed in the industry and jeepers call on Warn for electric, hydraulic and severe duty components that get the job done.
