The veteran WARN winch still has the fastest no-load line speed (73.4 feet per minute) and the longest rope in the WARN self-recovery lineup (150' of 5/16 wire rope). Because of these impressive stats, the M8274-50 is the preferred winch for off-road challenge events. Its unique spurgear drivetrain and upright design has proven to be reliable, and its braking system delivers smooth operation with excellent heat dissipation. Roller fairlead, remote with 12' lead, free-spool clutch, and battery cables are included.
I had two of this nice winches, with no problems what so ever!. Pulls my 1979 Chevy k-30 out of anything, and drags out anyone stuck! The best I have ever seen.

Proven record for durability
I just purchased a unit that was manufactured in 1987 and was all original. I opened it up, changed the oil, and reassembled. It operates perfectly so far, and after reading multiple online reviews, forum threads, and winch shoot out articles, it is apparent that this is probably the best winch Warn ever made. Yes, the price is on the high end for similarly spec'd winches, but if I can buy one that is 24 years old and still works like new, you should expect decades of service out of this product.

Mine is an older version of the same model, but this winch is a beast.
Pulls my jeep out just fine...go figure, but has pulled three trucks at once with no problem.
Would definently recommend it to anyone
In 1948, Arthur Warn founded Warn Industries to construct locking hubs for surplus World War II Jeeps. Ten years later, the Warn winch was manufactured to fill the need for a reliable recovery tool to aid off-roaders stuck in challenging situations. Since then, Warn has grown to offer a wide range of gear with the hallmarks of durability and affordability. 1988 spawned the aftermarket industry's first ATV winch and today their PowerSports line of winches ranks among the most esteemed in the industry and jeepers call on Warn for electric, hydraulic and severe duty components that get the job done.
