The new, more efficient design delivers faster line speeds and lower ampere draw. It's beefed up where needed and features a new aluminum solenoid housing cover.

I thought at first, that the 16.5 may be a little overkill... But it's definately better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. Highly recommended... This thing is a Beast.

A: The 68801 is a large frame winch and has to be mounted foot forward.

Q: what does thermometric self recovery mean Answer this question
A: Gordo, The Warn 16.5ti Thermometric Self-Recovery Winch comes with a remote that has an led indicator that will tell you when the winch starts to get too hot. Self recovery just means that you can winch yourself out without any assistance.
