This scoop connects in the same location where your tow hook mounts. This accessory scoop maintains the horsepower gain and increases mpg only on highway driving Note: extreme off-road through streams or creeks at a high rate of speed is not recommended. This unit is made for highway and track use. Scoop will not fit with the off-road package. Bracket mount is in the way. This is made for track use only.

Q: Volant instructions for this product show mounting is located below front fender valance. You claim it is located where the front tow hooks would be located. Which is true. I of course would like to have it mounted in the tow hook location in the front fender. Volant tech say that it cannot be mounted IN front fender. Have you had someone do this. I have 2013 Dodge Ram 5.7. and currently have a Volant CAI, which would accept this scoop. Answer this question
A: Hello Chris, the Volant Ram Air Scoop part# VOL36457 does not mount inside the fender, it shoots straight down and under the front bumper. The techs at Volant have the correct info on this one. Thank you for your inquiry.
