    I was surprised at how sturdy and well-made these pieces are. They are rock solid, but my favorite part is the rubber inserts. One of my my biggest complaints about mounts is that most scratch the chrome bars they are attached to and moving or removing shows all those scratches. This is eliminated with the rubber inserts. As a note, no, they don't slip or move once tightened.
