    PRODUCT OVERVIEW

    This tailgate security enclosure is a simple, two-piece design that creates a lockable storage trunk completely protected on all sides. It works in conjunction with the lockable vehicle tailgate to secure the trunk area created. The enclosure maintains the use and function of the rear seat. Quickly and easily installs with standard hand tools. The lid removes easily without the use of tools to allow for storage of large or tall items. Patent rights reserved. On vehicles with power door locks, arming the security alarm automatically disables the power door lock switches and ensures the tailgate and Tuffy enclosure are secure, even on softtop models or with the top removed. Patent pending.

    5.0 Excellent Storage Option

    Excellent product and exactly as described. Install was pretty basic, but instructions could have been more detailed. Great for use when top/doors off, locking up electronics and other valuables while shopping, etc. Will need to add an interior light in the "trunk" space as it is so dark inside the storage area. I now feel safe putting everything inside the locked stoarge area and leaving my Jeep open and/or unlocked.

    I installed this on my 2009 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 2-door with subwoofer. The directions were easy to follow and you only need a socket wrench with US and metric sockets. It looks great and gives me a sense of security that anything I leave in there when I have the top and doors off is secure. it is amazing how many bags of grocerioyou can fit in there! They do send the parts for all models so that was a little confusing but not too bad.

    I run my JKU topless with trail doors most of the year. However, that presented an obvious security problem. I never even wanted to stop to eat unless the Jeep was in direct sight. Now stuff can be secured even with no top and doors. I have not yet attempted to strap an ice chest to it yet...

    Q: with this work with the cago net installed? Answer this question

    A: It depends on how your cargo net attaches. This will not affect the belt rail that goes around the tub so your net should still attach fine.

    Q: I see previous customers asked about weight limit for storing items on top of the deck, but I didn't see what the weight limit is...just that there is no difference between the 2 decks. How much weight would be allowed on top of the deck? I need something that will hold 65-70lbs. Thank you Answer this question

    Q: I currently have the Bestop Trektop on my 2013 JK. Will the rear window design of the Trektop be compatible with the design of this Tuffy product. Looking from the pictures it might interfere and not allow the spot where the tailgate bar attaches. Thanks Answer this question

    A: Hello Chris, I do not have images of that at this time but they will work with one another. We have installed a few that with that configuration.

    Q: how deep is this security tailgate enclosure? will it cover all the space in the back of my 4 door Jeep Wrangler? I ordered the rear lockable storage box but it does not have very much space. Answer this question

    Q: From the pictures of this product it looks like the back panel does not extend all the way to the floor and uses the back seat to complete the "security". I have a 2011 Wrangler Sport and I am wondering if, with the back seat removed, there is a gap at the bottom of the enclosure. Thank you for your time. Ken Answer this question

    A: Hello Ken, the Tuffy Security Security Tailgate Enclosure part# TFY282-01 is fully enclosed with the rear seat folded down. If you remove the rear seat there will be a gap towards the back. Thank you for your inquiry.
