When you’re serious about lifting your pickup truck or Jeep for additional tire clearance and off-road traction, Trail Master Suspension systems are your best choice. Trail Master Suspension systems deliver amazing performance and durability at an exceptional value. From leveling kits to complete high performance 6” suspension systems Trail Master has the products you want for your truck or Jeep and the best price.
Recommendation first. If considering this kit I would recommend moving to the one that is $140 more and getting the addition of the new lower control arms.
The install was relatively easy. Use the updated instructions on this web page instead of the ones than come in the box. Make sure you have an 18mm open/box end wrench as manny tool sets don’t include this size (weird huh?).
You will need an exhaust extension. Add this first so when you lower the axle to add springs the drive shaft is not sitting in exhaust crossover limiting travel. Rent a spring compressor to assist getting front springs in.
Lower control arms require you to knock out alignment plate. One side it to rear and one to front on our Jeep so we set the kit plate and ground/drilled to get clearance set. Doable with 5/8” drill bit but a real pain (get kit with longer lower control arms).
Kit DOES NOT include sway bar end links. Move rear to front and you will need to buy a new set of +3” rears ($35).
Plan on a new alignment $90 after completion (4 WP can do it) and recenter steering).
Rear was quick and took about an hour to complete. Note. Unhook parking brake cables in body above axle (2 seconds to do) to drop axle enough for new springs. The reattach (2 more seconds) after in. Bolt up sway bar end links before lower shocks will also save you some time due to access.
Added 35x12.5x18 Ironman MT tires on proCompnwheels with 4.5” backspace.
Ride is BETTER Than OEM. Stability is BETTER. I feel much better even though lifted letting my 16 year old venture off now. I have run it through the paces of hard stops. Hard turns. Turns at speed. Interstate speeds. And impressed with stability and ride.
About to do sons Jeep with same kit adding lower control arms.
I gave 4 stars because I feel instructions could be cleaned up and I believe it should include sway bar end links. Also should include torque specs so not having to internet search for them.

I threw this lift on my 2007 (new body) Silverado 1500. Lift looks great and rides as good as stock or better! I went from 18” stock rims to 17” Pro Comps (threw 33” mud tires on) more rubber = better ride. Highly recommend this “budget” lift over paying more for a name and same components!

Works great, easy install, quality parts
I must say I was a little nervous buying this brand because I couldn't find many threads about about personal experiences, but I took the risk and I'm glad I did. Everything came in with no issues, install was very easy, everything bolts right on, my Jeep TJ rides alot smoother on road and off-road now. Deffently get alot more flex outta this kit than stock. I beat the crap out of it very often and it's holding up great. This kit will last like it should. Again....worked out great for my 97 TJ.

Budget lift kit that did not live up to my expectations.
I installed them correctly but just is way to stiff and I've done a lot to try and break them in. I'm now going to replace the shocks and see if that helps. You will need axle bracket mod for the shocks in rear. I contacted support via email and never got a reply. I would not recommend this kit to anyone. But if you are going to lift get a transfer case lowering kit while your at it!

Would'nt buy again!
So I bought this kit as an economy kit for my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo toy. For the money it was perfect. If you buy this kit, please note the following experiences I had;
-Track bar does not line up with axel mount after install. Had to use a 5K LB ratchet strap to torque it in to place.
-The kit tells you to remove upper control arms (for some un-Godly reason). The instructions NEVER tell you to re-install the upper control arms. This will result in the axel rotating forward and the sway bar links will not line up and the coil springs will curve. I attempted this with the front...FAIL on the company. Made no sense.
-The kit says to remove the rear upper control arms also for install (never says to re-install), I DID NOT DO THIS STEP, it was stupid and irrelevant. Nor did I disconnect the rear sway bar and the kit installed perfectly in the rear. I simply dropped the rear axel, pulled old springs, lower control arms and through in the new ones. Simple and fast.
-Rear track bar relocation bracket in the kit does not match the one in the instructions. The one in the instructions looked very different and required drilling. The bracket that actually came in the kit required no drilling but WAS NOT an EXACT fit by any means. It was very off-center and resulted in the 1/2 bolt holding it on only having a few thread on the nut to hold it in place.
-The kit says it doesn't include a transfer case lowering kit, but it did include 1" cross member lowering spacers.....
-I do have a louder rumble in the front end now. I don't notice a decrease in handling regardless of the rumble. I went 70 mph down the highway and it drove fine.
-Had to buy several new bolts cause the old ones were rusted and either broke or had to be cut off. This kit should come with ALL NEW REPLACEMENT HARDWARE, since it is designed for a vehicle that is over 20 years old.
-Lastly, the instructions are absolutely terrible and need to be written by someone who understands mechanics and instructing. The instructions are written in a "professional mechanic to professional mechanic" way, SO if you do not understand vehicle suspension and basic mechanics, you are going to have a difficult time installing this kit.

great value and it works
bent the leaf out on the trail was able to get it home and the costumer service people did everything they could to help me get back on the trail and even still drove it as my daily driver for months with the bent spring

You Get What You Pay For!!!
There are 2 ways to lift a vehicle: 1) Longer Springs; 2) Stiffer Springs. These springs are only about 1" longer than the stock springs so obviously they have a much higher spring rate. My Jeep rides like a 1 Ton truck. I've had many Jeeps and lifted every one of them and have never had this rough of a ride.
Also, the lower control arms are not only SHORTER than stock????? But they are also not offset where the tubing meets the bushing ends, so they still BIND just as soon as the factory LCAs do when they hit the spring cup/shock mount. You both need LONGER LCAs to correct caster/pinion angle, and OFFSET tubing to clear the axle brackets. Why else would you install aftermarket control arms??

Great Bang for the Buck
Replaced a 2" leveling kit that was installed on the front. Gained 2.25 inches in the front and 2 inches in the rear. For a 4.25 inches over stock. Also, added Mono tube shocks at the same time. Just about every 4 inch lift comes with the same components, so why spend more money. The control arms that come with this kit are rock solid and they look every bit as strong as the Fabtech, Tuff Country or Ready Lift. Save yourself some money and buy the Trailmaster. Current Wheel Well height is 41.5 front and 43 in back. I also have installed an Add-a-Leaf.

Good Lift, and Good ride quality.
Bought this lift and had it installed in one afternoon. Directions had a few spots where it said "front" and it was for the "rear" and vise versa. However if you have common sense you can figure it out easily. Kit included extra bolts and a couple brake line brackets depending on what year JK you have. This also fits a 2 door and a 4 door. Directions have a parts list in the back of the directions and all parts are stamped with the part number in them which makes it easy to identify the correct part when installing. Make sure you get an alignment immediately after installing this lift, and also make sure your steering wheels is straight before driving down the road. Overall lift is amazing for the price that it is. Powder coating is really nice, and durable. I repainted the shocks they come white and you have to install your stickers so I painted mine black. Only problem with the lift is in the rear upper shocks, they are a little too small if using stock hardware, however they include new bolts to use which work fine. My Jeep JK Unlimited only had 1000 miles on it so I wanted to stick with the stock hardware. The front track bar bracket has a spot where you have to drill 2 holes to have it installed, however you cannot get the nuts on the bolts in the stock housing bracket so I didn't drill the holes in my new 2015 JK Unlimited. This kit sits about 1.5" taller then my friends TeraFlex kit and also rides a lot better! I would highly recommend this for people to buy!!! NICE LIFT!!!
I have a stock 99 XJ. What is the max tire size I can run with this kit without modifying the fenders?
