Pavement is optional with these versatile all-terrain tires. They offer over 40 percent more tread life than the leading competitors, a blatantly aggressive tread design, and a quiet ride. Their aggressive tread pattern offers good traction in bad conditions, on pavement or off. The all-new Open Country A/T II also comes with an industry-leading 65,000-mile. This Xtreme size features a deeper tread depth and a more aggressive tread and shoulder design.
Just purchased these and headed out to the hills. It's January in Wyoming and they performed outstanding! From digging down through the snow to bite into the dirt climbing a hill or pushing through snowdrifts out on the flats they performed flawlessly. Plus the quiet ride on pavement allows me to finally be able to hear my son in the back seat. I put these tires on a 04 quad cab 3/4 ton cummins so I doubt I'll get the 65k miles out of them but I guess that's what the warranty is for. I went with the 285/65/18 and was worried they would be smaller than my Federal Couagia MT 35/12.5/18 but they weren't. Yes I lost some width on these but they are just as tall. As long as the life expectancy holds up on these like they say it should I will buy them again.

Best AT Yet!
I have had many different brands of AT tires over the past 7 years on 3 different Chevy 2500 Diesels. These are hands down the best! I had the BFG's which were noisy and only saw 15k miles out of. My Nitto TarraGrappelers were nice but too soft! Only about 20k out of them. These Toyos I've had on now for 35k miles and I have another 15k-20k to go on them. I drive hard and tow both a 15k lbs 5th wheel and 8k lbs boat. These tires have performed flawlessly! I would highly recommend these.
