When you hit the trail you can always use a little extra fuel, right? TITAN?s Trail Trekker tank for Wranglers gives you the fuel you need to go boldly off the beaten path. It?s made of TITAN?s famous Military Grade, Cross-Linked Polymer so you know it?s tough, durable and secure. The tank is fully grounded and vented with rollover protection. It fits the stock spare tire carriers and most of the popular aftermarket tire carriers, and comes with all of the high strength steel bracketry, fasteners, and accessories for easy mounting on your Wrangler. The mounting position keeps the tank out of the way and makes transfer of fuel to the vehicle?s main tank a snap. The Trail Trekker will handle 15? and larger wheels, and tires up to 37?
I like the concept and installed it within minutes. I wanted to put a cover over the top to keep it clean and somewhat inconspicuous. To put the cover on, I should have placed it 1/4" from the head of the bed and also could have put another nut on the bolt to move the tire slightly off the side edge, so the cover would slip on. The lock in the hole at the end of the bolt, does not prevent someone from loosening the nut 5" out, then easily reaching around to loosen the brace itself, to remove the whole thing at once. I will put a steel sleeve over the bolt so the nut cannot be loosened with the lock there. It should also have had predrilled holes in the base so I could bolt the unit down. I may bolt it with 3/8" eyebolts to incorporate a better lock system.

Tough Plastic - Hides behind spare tire
This is a very nice, well constructed tank. It holds 12 gallons and has siphon to move the fuel. If you need an out of the way fuel solution, this is good. If you need a cheap one, this isnt. We got ours for our Jeep and love it.. Glad it was a gift...
