This short shaft kit, or slip yoke eliminator, with the new, heavy duty shaft is engineered to withstand the increased torque (50% increase) generated by extreme reduction of the Tera Low231.The kit also eliminates the need to lower the transfer case in most cases by increasing the rear drive shaft length by four inches. It includes a larger output bearing and rear housing.
What is the proper driveshaft to use with this kit. I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee SE with a 4.5" Rough country lift and a Dana 35 rear axle. Also how much does this shaft cost?

We will need a length of the shaft you need since we don't sell Rough Country. The shafts are different depending on how the rear is lifted.

What is the recommended drive shaft?
Where do I get a drive shaft?

What is the year, make and model of your vehicle? Also lift height?

Im installing a rc 4.5 xseries lift. I was curious if the one inch transfer case drop eliminates the need for an SYE.

Hello Matt, the TeraFlex Short Shaft SYE part# TER4444402 will be a great start if you are getting a driveline vibration. In some cases you have to do the sye regardless of the lift size. Thank you for your inquiry.
