A: Hi Ed, This TeraFlex Shift Linkage Adapter is an upgrade over the OEM linkage, however there is a shifter link bar from the transfer case to this bracket this is required, it has an S shape to it. A: Hi Lance, If the 700R4 tranny mates up directly to the NP231J transfer case, then yes this will work. Since this transmission was not standard in a 1997 to 2006 Wrangler, you may have mounting issues since you probably have an adapter between the trans and transfer case.

A: Hello Rita, According to Teraflex's website, Heavy modifications are required with all AX-15 transmissions. it doesn't say what modifications you are going to have to do, but chances are high you will need to do this for this adapter to work on your TJ.
