Usually mud flaps are a nuisance and cannot be easily removed for off road use, but this heavy-duty mud flap kit is easily installed and when it's time for off road use, they are easily removed by pulling a pin. They can be stored in the back of the vehicle and installed before returning to the highway. The mud flaps will fit most vehicles. Some drilling is required.
Had these for a while. Canadian tire can get replacement mud flaps and they are an exact match.
They're not bad. I needed flaps to keep my Jeep legal after removing the factory bumper and there aren't a lot of options that attach to the frame. I was initially concerned that they would bend or break at highway speeds but no issues. It would be nice if the twist mechanism came off after they were tightened to avoid potential theft, but tightening them real good should prevent this. The problem is that there are actual removal instructions on the flaps themselves for anyone looking closely enough. They are quite expensive for what they are.
These do a great job of controlling rain, mud and gravel from flying up behind you, and they detach quickly when you want to play in the rocks.
Love the ability to detach them. Broke a couple bits installing and drilling but probably my fault.
