Looks like a good idea for inside a pickup topper. Would like to see better access to side windows. Is it fire resistant? A panel to put against tailgate and rear topper window would complete this... good luck,

It's my first rooftop tent but the tent is fantastic. Everything I hoped it would be. I went with this one because it's rep looked good but it also just barely fits into the back of my 2015 Mazda CX-9 with the third row down when I need the rack for something else and I'm a renter with lousy storage options right now.
The pad's a little hard as reported by many but we just supplemented with a memory foam pad cut to size and it was perfectly comfortable. We don't even have to remove it to collapse the tent. I'd say the base pad is still a big improvement over a typical foam rollup pad on a hard surface though. Overall quality and design has been great. I particularly enjoyed taking the rain cover off and just sleeping in an all-screen dome on one of the warmer nights. Made for fun nature-watching in the morning, perched on the top of a mid-size SUV.
I'm 6'3". We're not beanpoles and weren't cramped at all for sleeping. Maybe a little tight for non-horizontal activity though.
In heavy rain, I think it's important to keep the rain cover awning up. I just let it hang loose one night and we had a little bit of leakage through the front flap zipper that reached the bottom of the mattress. It wasn't crazy windy but apparently enough for water to come in from the sides.
I'm tall and surprisingly strong for a nerd with a nerd-job and managed to assemble it solo, but it would have been a lot easier with some help and I wouldn't recommend soloing it if you don't have reach and a little strength, and maybe a little creativity.
We'll probably upgrade to the Autana 3 if we end up getting a truck next year. It would be nice to have a little more space to hang out in on rainy days or we're just using it as an alternative to hotels on road trips.
I didn't see all the general negative reviews of 4WP in general until AFTER I ordered so I was a bit worried but surprisingly it shipped the same day direct from the manufacturer when Thule's own site showed a delay of weeks. Logistics are apparently a hot mess right now so hard to say whose fault the not great communication was, but I didn't KNOW it had shipped same-day until quite a bit later when I got an invoice and then did some emailing to figure out where to track the shipping #, because I was worried we might not get it in time for our trip. Got it a week before I needed it.
I'd been watching a number of sites for delay status changes and IIRC their messaging went from saying there was a definite delay to saying there might be a delays so I took a chance and pulled the trigger. Maybe not a bad option when they're not shipping from their own distribution centers if it still looks like they're having a hard time with shipping orders.

We are a family of 4 (2 littles and 2 adults). We are absolutely loving this tent! It is warm, comfortable and FUN! Also, 4 Wheel Parts and their freight company SAIA were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond for us. THANK YOU!
