    PRODUCT OVERVIEW

    Our Rear Axle Kits feature high manganese 1541h or 4140 Chromoly material, depending on application. TEN Factory engineers each axle and kit for a specific vehicle, and are a "bolt-in" performance upgrade. These kits are complete with left and right axle shaft, axle bearings and seals, and wheel studs.

    Q: Hi, I have a 1979 CJ 5 rear axle AMC 20 29 spline. Looking to install 1 peace axle shafts in the rear axle. What is the installation procedure. I read that the Timken SET9 bearing kit does not require adjustment. Does the bearings that come with it need to be adjusted. Answer this question

    A: Hello Double, The Ten Factory AMC 20 Rear Axle Kit will come with the bearings and seals to install. Installation is not that hard. You will need to reuse your backing plates and press on the bearings. Thanks for the inquiry.

    Q: will these work in a 1974 housing? Answer this question

    A: Hello The AMC 20 didn't come out till 1976 in the CJ's. The 1974 housing if you are working on a CJ5 would be a Dana 44. If that is the case no they won't fit the Dana axle. Send a little more information and we might be able to find you some axles.
