The Interco SS-M16 is a tire for all seasons. Several design features have been taken from the best performing all terrain and mud terrain tires. The SS-M16 is highway friendly and very quiet for a tire that has such good off road performance. It is an excellent tire that bridges the gap between the all-terrain and very aggressive off road tires and has a rugged design that will enhance the appearance of any vehicle.
With my work I am on the highway for long distances until I reach the job then its back roads and sometimes rough, muddy well site roads. These tires have lasted 53,000+ miles and wear very even. They have performed flawlessly on & off road. My only complaint is the road noise and it gets louder with wear. Over all I love them. To most that run over sized tires the mileage sounds ridiculous, I assure you it is not exaggerated. Likely closer to 55k when I change them.

AWESOME LOOKING W/ GREAT PERFOMANCE
These tires are an all around great tire. They ride very nice and are not as noisy as I had thought they would be. To me they are a scaled down version of the Bogger. They handle very well on and off road. I constantly get compliments on the look of the tires. I would strongly suggest these tires if you are looking for something that has an aggressive tread that rides really good.

Super Swamper M-16's
I have run the Toyo Open country tires for years and they have lasted forever and were extremly quiet, I gave these tires a chance and they are just a lil louder than Toyo Open Countrys and seen to be good so far.. I like Them so far

LOVE this product
I was looking for a tire that not only looked rough and tough, but wore that way and drove quietly and well on all city roads. This tire was not only all I was looking for but was pleasing to my budget. Smooth on the roads for such a big tire. [...]

13.50??? more like 12.50
These tires are very skinny looking! I had 13.50 toyo open country tires and they were plenty wide for my truck. I get these m16's and they are 13.50 but look like pizza cutters! not happy!

Great tire for the money
I have a 2008 king ranch f-250 with a 8 inch fab lift, 20 inch xd wheels and I just got these tires and like them so far. The only con is at about 70 mph these tires start to sing to you. Other than the noise there great tires.

They do great in the sand and mud, As far as highway they have performed better than I have anticipated. I've had SS TSL's which were not the best on the road. My M16's bridge the gap between AT & MT. Yes, a little noisy, but with the overall performance of this tire makes them worth it. Plus they look awesome and tear up anything off road. I'll have to get back to you on tread life...
I know super swampers aren't known as being a high mileage tire, but with this being a radial tire "about" what kind of mileage should this tire see?

The SSTM16-07R Super Swampers should last about 30,000 miles on an Avalanche.
It will be important to rotate and rebalance them about every 5000 miles or sooner.
Thank You for your question.

Thanks for the inquiry allen, the Super Swamper Tires LT285/65R18, M16 part # SSTM16-09R if your gonna run 18x10 the tire should stick out about 2 inches, fitment should not be an issue on that wheel.

The Super Swamper Tires off-road line includes the Super Swamper M16 tire, with 24 sizes, the Narrow Super Swamper, with 3 sizes, and the Super Swamper Radial which comes in 42 sizes. Super Swamper Tires are unusually round. So they work well on the trail but are still able to give a smooth ride on the pavement. The tires have six tread piles which cushion the bumps and shakes of the road. They also have low rolling resistance so they won't tax fuel economy. And up to 35 miles per hour they are not any louder than everyday tires. Super Swampers are manufactured by the Iterco Tire Corporation, known for making killer off-road tires for rock crawling (IROK), mudding (The Bogger) and tough trail running (TSL/SX).
