The Super Swamper TSL LTB is basically a more aggressive version of the Super Swamper TSL. They utilize the same TSL (three stage lug) design as the famous Super Swamper TSLs but the large lug is offset more to the outside which gives the tire superb traction. TSL is a lug pattern with massive short, intermediate and long lugs that are each uniquely arranged, proportioned and spaced which allow them to bite quickly and self-clean rapidly. The LTB is bias ply constructed, which allows for the more aggressive lugs and very strong sidewalls to better resist the rigors of hard core off-roading. The bias construction also reduces the chances of sidewall splitting when run off road at low air pressure. Super Swamper TSL LTBs are D.O.T. approved off-road, purpose built tires that also provide surprisingly smooth on-road ride. Super Swamper TSL LTBs are available in select wheel size and width variations from a 31x11.50-15 to a 47x17-17 with updated sizes added regularly. Note that the Super Swamper TSL LTBs unique design requires strict attention to air pressure when run on the highway, and actual tread patterns may (slightly) vary based on tire size.
I only have about 400 miles on these so far, but they work great in the rocks. Street manners are ok, but they are a mud tire so they wander a bit. I am only running 25psi on the street to get the right contact patch wear. My biggest problem was that it took 13 months from the time I paid for them. The wait was ridiculous. I don't know if has gotten any better or not..

I have a 06 Ram 1500 with a 5" lift and I love the LTB's, never get stuck or every worried about anything, BEST OFFROAD TIRE MADE!!!
Thanks for the question.
These run good on the road. They are a bias ply tire, so they are are not going to ride as good as a radial tire. They are DOT approved so they have to have a certain level of ride-ability on the road to be safe.

how long will the tread usually last on these tires

Thank you for your question Az killa. Super Swamper does not offer a mileage warranty or even an idea of how long the tire tread will last. Here is a link that might help you with your question http://jo.my/jrdm95
The Super Swamper Tires off-road line includes the Super Swamper M16 tire, with 24 sizes, the Narrow Super Swamper, with 3 sizes, and the Super Swamper Radial which comes in 42 sizes. Super Swamper Tires are unusually round. So they work well on the trail but are still able to give a smooth ride on the pavement. The tires have six tread piles which cushion the bumps and shakes of the road. They also have low rolling resistance so they won't tax fuel economy. And up to 35 miles per hour they are not any louder than everyday tires. Super Swampers are manufactured by the Iterco Tire Corporation, known for making killer off-road tires for rock crawling (IROK), mudding (The Bogger) and tough trail running (TSL/SX).
