What is the Super Swamper LTB? The Super Swamper LTBs are in the same basic Three Stage Lug design as the famous Super Swamper TSLs but a little more aggressive. The large lug is offset more to the outside which gives the tire superb traction. It is in bias ply construction which allows for the more aggressive lugs and very strong sidewalls to better resist the rigors of hard off-roading. The bias construction reduces the chances of sidewall splitting when run off road at low air pressure. There are many sizes available that are not available in the regular TSL line. **TREAD DESIGN MAY DIFFER BY SIZE**
I use the Super Swampers for everything, daily driving and mudding with the boys on the weekend. They make the transition from highway to mud very easy. The noise that the tires makes on the highways is nothing. Its more relaxing than anything else, not as loud as one would expect. Great buy and great for anyone looking to add better tires to a rig.
love this tire. by far the best tire i have ever had on my jeep. this is my first pair but i am sold these are the only tires i will put on my jeep from now on.
I now have 12K miles on these tires and they have worn exactly as I expected. Rotated every 1500 miles to keep wear even. Tires are now into the wear indicators with about 1/4" tread left. Tires are now rough as heck till they get warmed up. If you don't throttle from 45-55mph quickly you can sometimes find yourself in a rapid bounce/wobble in which you can only get out of by slamming on the brakes. Tires are still great in the mud and rocks and still have the swamper roar. Decided to regroove my tires yesterday back to near the pattern as before except I added a lot of siping since the tires were lacking from the factory. Tires now handle very well with the new grooving and I'm sure I got a couple thousand more miles left in them. Over all I am still satisfied with the tires and was actually going to order another set since they were so much cheaper than other tires, but these went up $40 per tire since I bought mine so I guess I'm going with some Goodyear duratracs.
The first mile and a half is a little rough but once they heat up it's a good ride. Has a nice roar and great looks. Does great on every type of terrain except ice, which nothing really does good here unless to got some studs installed. Tires have worn about 1/16" in a month and a half of everyday commuting, which is pretty good with me behind the wheel. No problems in the field or on the trail. Great traction everywhere I go, even with full pressure.
Day 1. First mile and a half will beat the heck out of you, once the tires warm up you hear this scary roaring coming from all around you, this is the roar of confidence. You accept this sound as you realize you can now go where ever you wish to =) I Love this tire. No trouble so far. Awsome in the mud, rocks, trees, or whatever is in your way. I have these mounted on my 99' F-250, open diffs and no problems in the goo.

Q: I have a 78 3/4 ton chevy truck. The guy I bought it from put a lift kit in it. Not sure, but possibly a 4" lift. I currently have 255 85 R16 BFG Mud T/As on the rig. They are wore out and I would like to replace them with a wider and possibly taller tire. My question is how big can I/should I go without requiring modification to the pickup? My goal is to create a very good mudder. Please note that the pickup will be used primarily in the woods. Very little road driving, thus I am leaning towards the super swamper LTBs. I also need a recommendation on black steel rims that will fit your recommended tires and the pickup. Answer this question
A: Kirby the Super Swamper LTB are a great choice for your 1978 chevy. Pro Comp has three styles of black steel wheels available for your truck http://jo.my/3kfdu0 thank you

The Super Swamper Tires off-road line includes the Super Swamper M16 tire, with 24 sizes, the Narrow Super Swamper, with 3 sizes, and the Super Swamper Radial which comes in 42 sizes. Super Swamper Tires are unusually round. So they work well on the trail but are still able to give a smooth ride on the pavement. The tires have six tread piles which cushion the bumps and shakes of the road. They also have low rolling resistance so they won't tax fuel economy. And up to 35 miles per hour they are not any louder than everyday tires. Super Swampers are manufactured by the Iterco Tire Corporation, known for making killer off-road tires for rock crawling (IROK), mudding (The Bogger) and tough trail running (TSL/SX).
