A: It works with bolt pattern 5x4.5. Wrangler used that bolt pattern from 87-2006.

A: The tire carrier works with several bolt pattern options. The Cherokee came with a 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern, which I believe was the same for Wranglers.

A: There’s not but Smittybilt has a relocation license plate bracket to put in the middle of your spare tire

A: The license plate relocation bracket is separate. It doesn't not have a dedicated license plate mounting point

A: NO, there is not. However, with relative ease I used some thin stock aluminum bars found at any home improvement store, and added extensions from the existing license plate holes to shoot the plate out to the drivers side, beyond the spare tire. A couple pieces of sticky felt on the back keeps it from rattling on the door. Looks totally fine.

A: Depends on design of brackets. If relocation brackets have a flange that mates with bottom surface of “frame” rails, it won’t just bolt up. Bumper brackets will have to be modified to accommodate thickness of shackle brackets. A minor fab job if you have a welder.

A: Yes... All I purchased was the bumper kit and loctite. No specialty tools required. Lubricate hinge points per instructions. Instructions should be read first.

A: There are multiple holes on the plate so they may possibly line with other hole patterns. There is also enough room on the plate to drill additional holes as needed to line up with your bolt pattern. The Rustoleum black wrinkle finish paint works great to touch up the parts after drilling or to cover scratches.

A: Yes! You will need to remove the factory hitch but the bumper has one built in so your not losing anything.

A: Yes you would need to remove it. This comes with a class III hitch included in the bumper.

A: There are slots in the carrier at the top and bottom to insert the straps through to secure the jerry can to the carrier. The jack is not secured by straps. Instead there are 2 metal Y channel pieces that bolt to the top of the carrier and then you use proveded U bolts to secure the trail jack to the carrier. Hopefully this answers your question.

A: No this only fits the XJ Cherokee but you could modify it to custom make it fit.

A: John- Thanks for the inquiry. The receiver in the Smittybilt Rear Bumper is rated for weight carrying up to 5,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 500 lbs tongue weight. We do not recommend exceeding the factory tow rating for your Jeep Cherokee which is 3500 lbs. If your Cherokee is automatic I would also recommend installing a bigger transmission cooler such as the Flex-a-lite unit here http://jo.my/48kyc3 as the factory transmission (even the extra one included in the towing package) cooler is known to be an issue when towing and can cause the transmission to over heat.
