A: its for the light on the winch, connect it to a switch

A: It’s for the small “decorative” winch light on the front of the winch.

A: On my gladiator, I spliced the blue wire into the orange and blue wire that is connected to my driver side headlight. The orange/blue wire are the daytime running lights so the light on the winch will be on during the day also. Not sure if the color is same on other vehicles 

A: It operates the light on the center of the winch. You can connect it to a switch or to you running lights or however you prefer to use it.

A: Yes, the remote comes with a special USB cable that makes it a wired remote and a charging cable. I charged mine before going to EJS-Moab and did use the wireless remote during the event to tow someone. It says you can charge it from about any USB port though I just connected the cable to the winch and charged it from there.

A: This winch and most others do not come with a plate. My bumper already had one as part of it. I assume other bumpers are same. Great winch for the $$ though! Love the wireless remote! (Has a cord too)

A: It does not come with a winch plate. Mine mounted directly to my bumper which is designed to house a winch. If your bumper (or wherever you plan to mount it) doesn’t have the four mounting holes and a place to mount the fairlead, then you’ll need to purchase one that fits your specific application/vehicle.

A: Yes they can. The manual has specific instructions on this and also includes additional accessories if one wants to offset the electrical controls to one side.
