Worked well across the US
Flat towed my jku with 37’s approx one month and 7-8k miles. 75-85mph I used brake buddy too and no problems. I used spacers on my rugged ridge front bumper due to some play but it worked well once I made them (basically 1/4” fat washer).

A: Not sure on Smittybilt specifically but should work with just about any bumper with DRing brackets. Mine came with 2 safety chains

A: It will work with the Gen2 bumper. It only comes with 2 chains. Also the labeling is incorrect. The label on it says to not exceed 45 mph despite marketing material stating 55 mph rating. I no longer use this tow bar.

A: It's a universal tow bar advertised for the Smittybilt bumpers. It uses the D-Ring mounts for the tow bar mounting. But, it also comes with the bolt on bracket kit for using with other rigs. By the looks of the SRC Gen2, it should work just fine. As for the chains, I only got 2 chains with mine. Not 4. But, by the looks of the pic, it SHOULD have come with 4. HTH:

Q: i have an XRC bumper with 1" thick d-ring tabs. Will the Smittybilt tow bar fit? Also, I have a drawtite with old style coupler. Is there an adapter that will work on the drawtite that will bit the 1" thick tabs on the XRC? Answer this question
A: Yes it will fit the XRC bumper. No there is no adapter for the drawtite bar.

Q: I have a 2007 4 door Jeep Sahara with the original bumper. Will this product fit on the original bumper with no additional equipment, without drilling? Also, does the product come with all of those parts required to simply connect without other parts to be purchased? Can an individual with only very basic mechanical skills attach this product without attending classes or having additional specialized training? Is there any additional equipment necessary to be able to safely tow the Jeep from one coast to the other behind a 25/26 foot RV? Sorry that this is composed of more than one question. A: Thanks for the question Jon, This is a universal kit that will work on the factory stock bumper. You will need to drill into the bumper to instal the mounts. All parts (except the hitch) is included in the kit. As far as installation, if your not comfortable installing it I would hire a professional, you dont want the Jeep to fall off on the highway, that could ruin a trip.
