The Smittybilt recovery strap utilizes double-stitched webbing, with a double hoop design. These recovery straps are rated for a minimum of 20,000 lbs. Look to Smittybilt for recovery straps to help guide you out of any situation.
Bought the strap as a back up for my truck. The strap loops have some sort of almost a vinyl around the loops. One of the loops outer material was already falling of so it won't last. I thought smittybuilt was better than this. I'll never buy anything else smittybuilt.

Great Recovery Strap
This is a great recovery strap for pulling out stuck vehicles.

Hauled out buddy's truck!
Was camped for bowhunter elk season miles down Newman Canyon in the Coconino Nat'l Forest on FS132d, which was extremely rocky and muddy--high clearance 4WD only. My buddy's chevy 2500HD Duramax's diesel injector pump failed and the tow truck would not leave the main road. I pulled him out (up hill, over the boulders and through the deep mud and pools). His truck weighed 4 tons but it was nothing to this tow strap.

Nice well made strap
Good well made strap. End loops are rolled up rather than flat like other straps which make it a little more durable and easier to strap to anything

What a great snatch!
We just got slammed with with sub zero temperatures and 10 inches of snow in the Midwest. After putting my vehicle in the ditch, I pulled out the tow strap. Hooked it up and the next person by gladly hooked on, and gave me a gentle tug and out I came. Much safer than a chain. And a lot cheaper than a tow bill.

Good strap. Nice construction and seems durable.

snapped after five uses
used it a couple times with my Tundra. I think a total of 5 times before the snapped. Was pulling my k5 stock when my starter gave out on a small dune hooked it to axle of blazer and dring of tundra, not even five feet it snapped, weird thing was There was no tears before but o well. Was disappointed. I'm a tow truck driver and was surprise it snapped. But got another haven't used it yet.
Side note I went back to store and told him the sales person said there was warranty when I bought it! They laughed at me and said I was lieing. Felt real dumb asking about warranty

Does the Job!!
This strap is excellent, bought it for my son now that he owns a 4x4 mudder, pulled out some trees at his home, did the job as expected. Well worth the purchsse! Also purchased him a Snatch'em Strap, dont think he has had to use it yet.

Good strap for a good price
So far this strap has only been used to pull a 3/4 ton suburban down the road. The strap seems solid and the 30' length is nice so the vehicle being towed has more time to respond to brake.
With a 20,000 pound rating, I'm sure this will come in handy when my open dif's get me stuck again!
I just bought a 2011 Ram 5.7L Hemi 4x4 a month ago and have already pulled two vehicles from deep snow. Fortunately, they either had their own tow/recovery strap, or a nearby neighbor did. I guess I need my own. Is this a tow strap or a recovery/snatch strap? Will it handle the majority of vehicles I would be able to pull from a ditch or whatever? Is it made of nylon, or polyester? Thanks in advance! Bill W.

Hi Cpt Flag
The S/BCC230 is a tow or recovery strap and is not for snatching vehicles .......these nylon straps are made for constant steady load not jerking. if you are looking for a snatch strap look at the S/Bcc120 http://jo.my/7b7ca9 or the Buba Rope line http://jo.my/lb3ni Thank You

Is this a no stretch tow strap or a recovery / snatch strap?
