The Smittybilt SRC Oversize Tire Carrier is the most economical way to mount an oversized tire onto your Jeep Wrangler JK.
Easy to install and a must have for oversized spare tire. It made all the rattling go away!
Best bang for the buck tire carrier. Install was a breeze. If your looking for a solid/affordable tire carrier, this is the one.
Great quality product much better choice than bumper style
Instructions were poor, product overall is great::
Great item. Fast shipping. Could not be happier. Happy
I was running 285/65/R18 tires on my stock tire carrier. Every time I went over a bump, I would get a rattle in the tailgate. I did a lot of research on tire carriers and this seamed to be a great option at a decent price. I chose this one because the up/down, in/out adjustability of the tire mount and third tail light. After installing, all the rattles are gone. I absolutely love this carrier. The installation instructions are terrible, so I suggest watching youtube videos prior to installing.
Solid, affordable, best product for your money, hands down! I love that it pulls the tire tight to the tailgate. Clean look, awesome support! If you're ready to buy a carrier and are on the fence, JUMP! You will not be disappointed, period.
Q: How can I mount a High Lift jack and Roto Paks to this mount? Answer this question
A: Mmmm. Not sure if there are provisions for it or not. Email smittybilt and ask

A: Smittybilt makes a hilift jack mount for this carrier. There are a couple of different options for the Roto-Pax, they make an attachment that attaches the the upper rail of the lift, or there is also a tire wrap mount that I have seen as well.

A: Hello, For this bumper, you can actually get the Smittybilt Trail Jack Mount part number S/B2844. No additional drilling is required. And for the RotoPAX can get tricky because of the spare tire you have, I will provide a solution that will work for MOST cases. We do offer the RotoPAX Universal Mount part number ROTRX-TM which mounts behind the spare tire at the center. You will also need a RotoPAX mount (with the handle) we offer a couple here are the three: ROTRX-LOX-PM (this one is lockable), ROTRX-DLX-PM , and the ROTRX-PM. Here are videos regarding the RotoPAX, one video shows the setup of the Universal Mount by the spare tire, and the other video explains the 3 handles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWAq7TvOYgs and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBcO04UlJ30&feature=emb_logo Thanks for checking us out!

Q: I have a 35” mounted. I’ve greased the hinges, but it doesn’t last. Gate is hard to open. Is there a fix for this? Answer this question
A: I have this same problem. My kids can barely close the gate. Loved it for a year. A lot of money for something that works well for only a year.

A: I mounted a 33 inch, assuming you have the same heavy duty Smittybilt as mine, it works smoothly. I was amazed how quiet it makes the ride even over rough terrain compared to the stock carrier

Q: Which tire lock do you recommend for this carrier to keep someone from stealing my spare tire? Answer this question
A: i use a cable and lock
Answered by will on 12/31/2021
A: I am not fond of locking lug nuts (which is the only way to lock it) for the simple reason if you do a lot of back country off roading they will fail or you will not have the key when you need it the most. If your in an area where you are at risk of it getting stolen I would go to a tire shop for one that will fit but put the regular nut back on when off roading.
