Fully waterproof so you dont have to worry about being caught out in the rain. The Overlander tent offers all the features you need for the best camping experience.
6 nights and 1080 miles then two days, one night and 120 miles. Two vehicles and one dog. We love this tent and the way it gets us up off the ground. I fit this to our 2017 Chevy Trax, 140 horse power 3,200 pound small SUV. 1080 miles with tent on top, it road very well. We got the annex as well, and enjoyed the extra space for changing and eating on those cold mornings at 8,000 feet. Room for two and a dog. My wife thought the sleeping pad was a little thin so she added an air mattress. Had to drill a second set of mounting hole for the bolts for fit the Trax. The original holes lined up great for the YJ. Have fun and get outside.

Just what I needed in a tent
I drive a 2012 JK with a soft top.
I have the SRC body rack and this attacbed easily with one other to help. We used the Smittybuilt Roof Top Tent throughout the fall and winter camping season and I could not be happier with this tent. It is large, warm confortable, easy to set up and to take down with only one person if need be. It's sturdy in high winds, snow and rain. Yeah, I know it is not meant for the roof of my JK, but with the SRC body rack it works fine. I even get better milage with it on compared to my rack alone. I have not had any wierd wobbles highway speeds and yes it has some road noise, but it is bearable. It loud already with a soft top. I would highly recommend this tent. Summer is around the corner and we are looking forward to taking the rain fly off at night to see the stars. I wish that I could upload a pic.

Bought this tent a few months ago, and got the chance to use it, must say install and overall usage was excellent for the price compared to higher brands. I was happy with all the features, however did wish it had zippers instead of Velcro on the outside cover. We drove through a nasty storm going to base camp and you could see the cover filling up with air from the wind, so we ended up strapping it down just for extra measure. But still happy

Very impressed for this entry level RTT
Like i said before very impressed with the quality of this tent. I have used it about 5 times now and love it so far. I am really satisfied that i can setup and tear down with no help at all. I Really cant see what your paying for with more expensive tents that are the same style, this one seems so perfect. Eventually i can see my self replacing the velcro straps to something that is easier and faster to strap down.

Solid tent, well packaged
I read the reviews and was expecting some packaging issues but the tent arrived boxed up well with styrofoam sheets protecting the contents. Fortunately had a buddy that has had his Overlander for 20+ camping trips, and he helped me assemble and install my tent. Took the two of us a couple hours more or less to completely install, set up and take down and cover. Overall I’m very satisfied with the quality of the materials. I think SB has done a great job with this one!

Best Tent for the money... by far!
I've used this tent now for a full season, and I'm very happy with it.
I have it mounted to my trailer at 72" off level ground. When it's open there a nice covered are to sit under. Set up is easy and takes less time that setting up a ground tent. We added a 2" Queen size memory foam pad to supplement the mat supplied, it's very comfortable now. Camping in Temperatures of 100* to 15* we've found that leaving a window or ceiling vent open really helps keep condensation down.
Only small issue we've had is the hardware for that hold the mounting tracks in place came loose after doing a 100 miles of rough dirt roads. I recommend using Locktite when assembling the tent. I also added two extra mounting points to the cage on my trailer.
Overall it's a great tent for people who like extra space, two adults in a queen size double bag, two dogs and bags fit comfortably in the tent.
At the price it by far the best value out there,

This tent is huge
Very large footprint. My factory cross bars on a 4Runner weren't up for the task. Needed to purchase after market load bars. Great tent with many extra's.

I had my first time out with my tent this past weekend and loved it. so ease to set up and to take down. Great for the beach..only one thing went wrong.. the ladder gave way with me. I had to fix on the fly. But with the great people at smitty we are working on getting a new ladde. I built a trailer for mine to set on and it works so well. what ever way you want to use it camping on the run or 3 or 4 knight stays in the same place. you will love this tent...

This is a solid tent
I finally got my tent last week here in Utah. The strike that delayed the shipping significantly, however that wasn't too much of an issue for me at the time. The local guys here did a great job keeping me up to date on the shipping and what was going on. So I set the tent up this weekend and I was a little worried from the previous post on here about "the seams showing light" and not enough quality checking, I did not find that to be my experience, the tent is well built and is pretty self-explanatory with the instructions. I set it up in my yard and so far I haven't taken it out yet so for my single yard use it appears this tent is going to be perfect for my family of 3's adventuring needs. My only slight issue would be that as I was moving it around and getting it spec'd for my off road trailer it is easily to scratch the base plate on either side, so I would suggest putting the rails on first thing before moving it around too much. The tents interior is solid the frame is great, the LED lighting is yet to be tested at night, the material and zippers all seem to be of a solid build, I did however get 4WP 3-year warrantee just to be safe, but it appears that for my needs I won't be having any foreseeable issues.

First impressions of Overlander
Took Smittybuilt out for shakedown run and found the following(1) top corners were its gusseted for support bars you can see daylight were its stitched-needs to be sealed.(2)small tear in ripstop were fabric was sewn in corner on seam, probably were moisture got in. needs to be patched and sealed.(3) none of the seams are taped so they all need to be weatherproofed .(4)Appears no quality control prior to leaving factory so lots of little finish items to square away. Nothing insurmountable but you get what you pay for. pluses its bigger than most entry tents, did pretty good in 20 mph wind. And if you are handy you can save about 400 bucs over similar sized quality Chinese tent .
