A: Yes, the zipper used to close the travel cover is used to attach the annex to the bottom of the tent frame. The annex cannot be attached until the tent is open. 

A: Yes. You need to unfold the tent too.

A: Yes it comes with a carrying bag with handles for easy transport.

A: I have the annex for the standard size tent D it's very spacious. Could easily fit a queen air mattress in there. Plenty of room. 

A: Not sure on the exact dimensions but its wider than the base of the bottom of the roof top tent. You can for sure fit 2 cots in the annex. 

A: There are tents that allow the ladder to be in the annex while still being able to get in the tent. That’s why I was asking. 

A: The ladder is on the outside of the 2588 so you can still go into your tent.
