5.0 Nice, reasonably priced awning

This is my first vehicle awning, and I have to say I'm very happy with it, especially for how reasonable the price is. I attached it to my Rhino Rack, and it is a great companion to the rooftop tent. Setting it up is a breeze with two people, and was challenging for one person, at first, but once I figured out my "strategy" for getting the legs and poles out in the right order, I can easily set it up alone. I guess this is a keeper, so I'm going to get the mesh room next!

Q: How does this mount? Answer this question

A: The awning comes with exhaust clamps, steel L brackets, and bolts of varying lengths so the awning can be clamped to a roof rack. Smittybilt has videos on their awnings on YouTube.

A: Hello tRVcklife, The new Gen 2 Awnings have a very similar install to our retractable awnings. These also come with L-brackets and U-bolts. U-bolt install can be done on the roof rack rails (if tube shaped). L-bracket install usually required to mount bracket on 2 crossbars on roof rack (easy drilling often required on L-bracket install but not always). Below are the instructions for a retractable awning (very identical install process).

A: If you orientate the tent to open towards the back vs on the side.
