They're a shackle, they work like shackles.
I originally bought this for my ATV winch, and was pretty happy with it once I got it. I ordered three more, for my truck front tow hooks, and rear shackle receiver. I like the cam style pin retention, instead of just being a screw pin. A little extra piece of mind when on the road. If you want a rubber pad to prevent bumper scratches, buy some, no big deal. Same for the rubber washers so they don't swing back and forth.

A: I've never seen any. But these look awesome just the way they are. I have these on my Jeep which has a steel bumper, and honestly, there's never any clanking around.These rings are not lightweight cheapies.
