PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Defender Racks are made from 16-gauge, fully welded, 1" round steel tubing and finished in a textured black powder coat. Aerodynamic styling blends well with todays vehicle designs. Welded light tabs (4 front & 2 rear) and integrated flooring maximizes functionality. Multiple mounting options offer a secure attachment to any vehicle. The Defender Rack line is produced to exacting standards, and built for years of trouble-free use. Ease of installation is always at the forefront of our designs.

Great rack, Great price
Fast shipping ordered Sunday received Wed. Just be aware it's shipped by semi. So have to be home to receive. Plus was there was no damage to the rack. It's a great quality roof rack. Easy install and removal ability without drilling holes in the top attracted me to this rack.

Nice looking rack
This rack seems really sturdy. I love how it looks on my Jeep. Except for 1 bolt needing to be ground and rethreaded, it was an easy install.

Nice Rack!
Really happy with this rack. It's bigger than the basket that I had on my last jeep and didn't require a cross-bar system. All the gutter mounts and hardware came with it. Even better was the price; it definitely didn't break the bank like some of the $1,000-plus racks out there. I think it looks great and still lets me remove my freedom top panels.

Q: Once installed, can the hardtop be removed with leaving the rack attached? Answer this question
A: THE FRONT PANELS CAN BE REMOVED BUT NOT THE LARGE BACK PANEL.

A: The freedom panels can come off, but the rack locks onto the lip at the top of the hardtop, so you couldn't take the whole hardtop off without taking off the rack too.

A: no drilling required. After buying mine and installing it I wish I would have just bought the Rhino rack internal frame set up like I did later.

A: It's not super heavy but does take at least 2 people to put it on. I love mine! Great product and holds a lot!

Q: I've seen that the weight rating for this is 150 pounds. Is that what the rack is rated for ir is that based off of jeeps 150 pound static weight rating for the roof? Answer this question
A: Don't make my mistake and buy this, just put your money towards a Rhino Rack. This roof rack attaches to the fiberglass rain gutter above the doors which is very thin and not designed to take that amount of force.

Q: can i mount a smittybilt overland xl tent to this? if yes, and the load rating for this rack is 150lbs as i have read in the answer to other questions does that mean with the tent and a person sleeping in it will overload the roof rack? Answer this question
