A: It does, but it’s not permanently affixed to the mount (you add it manually before attaching the mount). As such, it also won’t stay. I’ve lost one side already in just a few months of use, and I never too the rack or mounts off - so tbh, not sure how it fell off.

A: Mike, the Smittybilt Defender Rack Roof Rack Mounting Kit is just the mounting kit for the Defender rack. However, the rack itself will hold 300lbs; any more than that and you run the risk of changing the center of gravity of the vehicle too much to be safe. Hoep this helps!
