There’s nothing better than pulling an icy, cold beverage or crisp, refreshing sandwich out of your Smittybilt Arctic Fridge/Freezer during a hot day out on the trail. The 52 quart is large enough for extended forays into the backcountry, yet still sized to easily fit in the back of most 4x4s.
The Arctic Fridge/Freezer’s ultra-efficient compressor can run on 12 volt or 110 volt to provide temperatures as low as -22°F in conjunction with thick 55MM polyurethane insulation. State-of-the-art LED controls are recessed to protect them from damage or accidently being altered, and the three-stage automatic power cut off to ensure that your vehicle’s battery has enough reserve capacity to start the engine.
I bought this for a 10 day trip through Utah and was blown away with how little power it consumed. I have a stock battery setup and was worried about running my battery down, we never had an issue the entire trip! How great to have cold grub and beers and no need for ice or digging through water.

5.0No more ice!
My son and I filled this up with drinks, steaks and vegetables and headed out to Death Valley. I will never take a cooler again, no hunting for things in cold water. I was also happy to go all night long with it running and it did not wear my battery down. The Jeep started right up in the morning.

Works great even in desert 115 degree heat I had ice cold beer and water.never buy ice again.
-12 VDC (35°F inside, 68°F outside) Approximately 0.7AH/h
Start up amps up to 4 amps
Average power consumption 40 Watts
Many factors play into this such as load, temp setting, ambient temp, compressor mode, and items inside the cooler.

Thanks for the inquiry andy, the Smittybilt Artic Fridge/Freezer part # S/B2789 at this point SB does not offer a mount for it.
Does this have a freezer section or must you choose either freezer or fridge
Answer this question
The Smittybilt Artic Fridge/Freezer S/B2789 is a single climate unit. So it either runs as a freezer or adjust the temperature on the side panel up and it's now a fridge. I hope that helps. Thank you.
