You can buy more expensive versions of this equipment, but that doesn't mean they're better. This is a solid piece, does the job and I saved a lot of money buying this one.

Very heavy duty receiver at a great value, rust free is a huge plus

At first, I was skeptical due to the overall look and build of the hitch. I did not pay full retail however at this time I would pay twice retail for this hitch. It will transform you from a mere mortal to a towing god in the eyes of anyone who casts a gaze in your direction. This hitch in 1 day has ruined countless marriages by showing inadequacy in partners chosen as wives realize their mistake in not marrying a man who owns a smittybilt drop hitch. The Smittybuilt mount is the best trailer hitch I have ever owned. First, it is made of high strength aluminum (6061-T6 I believe) so it will always look good and never rust. Second, I have 2 boat trailers with different size balls, so the simple 180 degree "flip" of the hitch works perfect without changing out the complete hitch each time I change trailers. Third, the adjustable holes make each different trailer tow at the proper height so each trailer is level at all times. I look forward to many years of service from this terrific hitch!
