The Smittybilt 2" x 30' recovery strap utilizes double-stitched webbing, with a double hoop design. These recovery straps are rated for 20,000 lbs. Look to Smittybilt for recovery straps to help guide you out of any situation.
So far this strap has only been used to pull a 3/4 ton suburban down the road. The strap seems solid and the 30' length is nice so the vehicle being towed has more time to respond to brake. With a 20,000 pound rating, I'm sure this will come in handy when my open dif's get me stuck again!
pretty good recovery strap. not the highest strength, but more than adequate for the majority of offroaders. smittybilt makes many good products.
I use straps every week in my recovery work. The Smittybilt recovery strap works great. I have to use products that I can trust. I trust Smittybilt..
sorry to say I have not used this product yet , but , that is a good thing ! Strap appears to be be well made , rugged stitching , and pliable . It replaces an old Smittybilt strap that finally wore out after several years of hard use .
This strap has enough strength to pull me and my friends rig out of the mud after the biggest rain in several years. I would recommend this strap to be in every toyota 4wd because is fairly priced and durable. A must have in my opinion.
Good strap to keep in the Jeep just in case... To pull other out of course. : )
IT'S COMPACT
Q: I just bought a 2011 Ram 5.7L Hemi 4x4 a month ago and have already pulled two vehicles from deep snow. Fortunately, they either had their own tow/recovery strap, or a nearby neighbor did. I guess I need my own. Is this a tow strap or a recovery/snatch strap? Will it handle the majority of vehicles I would be able to pull from a ditch or whatever? Is it made of nylon, or polyester? Thanks in advance! Bill W. Answer this question
A: Hi Cpt Flag The S/BCC230 is a tow or recovery strap and is not for snatching vehicles .......these nylon straps are made for constant steady load not jerking. if you are looking for a snatch strap look at the S/Bcc120 http://jo.my/7b7ca9 or the Buba Rope line http://jo.my/lb3ni Thank You
