I was disappointed that the bushings did not come with the leaf springs. I understand it’s all business but like seriously?! Was not convenient at all.
Springs arrived a few days later than the spring bushings, but 2 weeks before the axle u-bolts arrived, took a month but I did finally get my order.
I ordered the wrong springs. I've sent 6 messages back to 4wp on how to return these with no response. The springs are probably awesome on a jeep, but I needed springs for a chevy. Can someone get back to me to return these? Thanks
I put these springs in my 93 w250 with a 5.9 cummins. The front spring eye bushings in the truck are .625, and the springs come with .5 eye bushings. The description said perfect fit for my truck. I had to take the bushing sleeves out of the old frame bushings and slide them in the .625 hole for the front shackles. This gave me a perfect .5 hole, for the eye bolt. I sent two questions out to the help department and got no response. The springs fit good now and give a good ride. You will need plus 4 shocks cause the stock ones are not going to be long enough. Over all I am happy.
These made a great way to lift my truck way easy to install did it myself in one night after work rides great looks amazinf
I wish I had known the advertised 3 inch lift does not refer to final height on a cherokee. I would have bought 2 inch springs.
Q: Will I need to get a block to compensate for axle mount height variance on axle? Answer this question
A: Possibly - Depending on age of vehicle and how much accessory weight vehicle is carrying. Best to install springs an drive 500 to settle the new springs. Then measure for desired height.

Q: What u bolts do i need with these springs when using the factory 4" blocks? Answer this question
A: 1/2” X 8” bolts without the 4”block, 1/2” X 12” with the 4” block. When I installed these (front and back) I found that the 4” block was too much and no block was too little to get the body of my Ramcharger level. I ended up using a 1 1/2” block and 1/2” X 9 1/2” u- bolts. Hope this helps!

It also rides really rough yet all other aspects of the suspension check out okay. If anyone could help it'd be appreciated guys, thanks. Answer this question
A: Hello You didn't say how the rear was lifted. If they used an add-a-leaf that will give you a stiff ride. The leafs in the rear might not be bad depending on how it was lifted. You could install a block in the rear or replace the leafs if they have sagged.

I am running one ton axles Dana 60 front and 70 in the back. what happens now is that they (the stock springs) seen to wrap up just from the weight of these axles plus they ( the springs are warn out) I need about 3 1/2" of lift to keep my drive shaft at the right length -- how much sag do these Softride springs have over time and under load? I will match the fronts with what ever i do on the back. Answer this question

Q: I have 2005 f150 crewcab with a 6" procomp lift. I added a procomp add-a-leaf to get the rake back. Also i tow travel trailer and needed it a little stiffer. I would like to get rid of the lift blocks. Would these springs be stiff enough, also keep the rear a tad higher or will the truck be level? Adding the add-a-leaf i had to cut off the factory leaf alignment brackets and add aftermarket brackets that clamp the leafs together, which i hate. Answer this question
A: Hi Paul These springs are a factory spring rate and will only add 6" over stock. You cannot add an add a leaf to a lifted spring for added height with out doing a lot of research on the add a leaf arc. You may wish to look into an airbag system to maintain ride quality when empty and better handle the load . A system like this Firestone kit http://jo.my/qefh28 and then a set of spacers http://jo.my/rgj6me to adjust for the added spring height would be the way to go for comfort and handling. Thank You

Q: yes I have a 86 F-350 WITH THE 6.9 DIESEL. it has about 12 inches of lift on it with a lot of lift springs on it. im wanting to take all of that off and start over and drop it. it bounces like crazy right now. how does these make the ride and what size tire can be run with this lift? thanks Tim Answer this question
A: Tim- Thanks for the question. At 5 inches of lift on your 86 ford f-350 you should be able to run 37" tires with no issues. The reason why it was so bouncy is because the ends of the springs are turning up. The flatter the spring the smoother the ride. You might consider looking into a shackle reversal kit.

Q: I added a 2.5 in spacer in the front then added a leaf in the back but it raised it almost 3 inches higher in the back... my question is if i take the other leaf spring out the back an add this one will it make it sit more level. or am I better off just taking the leaf out all togather? Answer this question
A: Trey- Thank you for your question. The Skyjacker Softride Leaf Spring part number SKYFR904S is a 6 inch lift spring. If this add a leaf was added recently, i would recommend that you put some load in the bed near the tale gate. This will help settle the spring in. You can run without the rear add a leaf, that should level out your truck.

Q: What are the exact lengths of the spring from front bushing to center hole, and from center hole to rear bushing? Answer this question
A: Brandon- Thank you for your question. The Skyjacker Soft ride Leaf Spring Rear measures 28.5 inches from center pin to rear and 32.5 from center pin to front eyelet. 61 inches overall. Remember this measurement is following the curve of the spring. As if you laid it flat. They do not measure the spring in its arched state as that could very substantially.

Q: Does the installation of these leaf springs require any adjustment to the drive shaft, such as an extended drive shaft? Answer this question
A: Brandon- Thank you for your question. The Skyjacker Softride Leaf Spring Rear may or may not need a drive line modification. It will depend on the length of you drive line. That means if you have a crew cab long bed you drive line angles will be less than a standard cab short bed. Where the short bed may require a modification the long bed may not. If you have a 2 piece drive line you can use a carrier bearing drop bracket to adjust the drive shaft down.

Q: What is the actual spring capacity of these springs? Is it greater than, or less than 2600 lbs? Answer this question
A: Brandon- Thank you for your question. The Load capacity for the Skyjacker Softride Leaf Spring Rear is only marginally more than stock, per Sky jacker. The spring rate is 235 lbs until it reaches the over load then it is 552 lbs. This makes the spring ride like stock but still give you the all spring lift.

Q: Hi, I have a 1993 Dodge W250 with a 5.9liter Cummins diesel motor. I need four in's of lift in the front to level the front to the rear (the rear has been blocked) My question is the truck has the Cummins motor in it, and also a home made front bumper replacement (Probably equal in weight to a Ranchhand full replacement) Will these springs STILL provide the 4in' lift under the weight of the bumper replacement and the diesel motor? Or should i go for a 5in' to 6in' lift spring to accommodate for the weight in order to get 4in's of ACTUAL TRUE lift?? Thanks for your response in advance. The information will be greatly appreciated. Answer this question
A: Hello Little Cole, With the weight described I would suggest stepping up another 1" - 1.5". The leaf spring I would suggest is the Skyjacker Softride Leaf Spring Front SKYD600S. Thank you for the email.

Q: I have a 2006 F-150 4x4. I bought it used and it has a lift with 37x12.50R17 tires on it. I do not know how much lift it has, but it is pretty tall. (truck is 7'2" at the top of the cab) Problem is, the rear squats down 5" lower than the front. (when measuring from top of front tire to fender well center and top of rear tire to fender well center) I like the rear to be about 1"-2" higher than the front. Will this leaf pack give me the look I want? I am assuming I need 5"-7" of spring lift in the rear. (with or without factory blocks) There is a 2" block stacked on top of the factory block now. Answer this question
A: Hi Barnman The front wheel well opening is cut higher than the rear opening by at least 2". Not knowing exactly what we are working with i can only assume the rear is down about 2-3 inches where most kits leave them.. The springs you are looking will leave you options with the rear lift. Since there are stacked blocks you can install the springs and mix and match the blocks until you get the desired look you wish. Thank ou

Q: I have a 1978 f150 that has had a Dana 60 put in the rear and it is setting on 5.5" blocks that I would like to replace with leaf springs. Is the the right spring? What else would I need to complete the change? Thank you Answer this question
A: The Skyjacker SKY FR56 springs are a great riding spring have used them for years. To complete the installation of the Skyjacker springs in your 1978 Ford F-150 and removing the existing lift blocks you will need a new set of U-Bolts as the ones in your truck will be too long. Since you have a different axle in your truck you need to measure the axle housing diameter plus the height of your existing spring pack plus about 2” to get the correct axle U-Bolt dimension.
