well worth the money! Installed a lift kit on my '11 f250 kit leveled out truck but with the softer springs ford now running with on there truck a full tank of gas would have it sag slightly and lord help you if you actually have a load in the bed... these soft ride springs did exactly as described raised the rear just enough to give a slight rake and beefed up the load handling with what feels like having very little to almost no effect to the ride feel. easy to install but if you have the factory overload contact springs the center retaining bolt supplied in the kit is no where close to being long enough so you'll end up having to reuse the old one or buy a longer one. other than that all is great!

easy install and not super stiff
2003 z71 Silverado had stock 2in block in the rear. I wanted the block gone and the rear to sit alittle lower. They also keep your leaf from riding on the overload spring all the time which makes for a better ride. You will need shorter u bolts though

Just the springs only
Its just the springs in the kit,you will need to find your own centering bolts.Any more height and you will need to relocate the centering link bar,and brake lines. This is the easy way to restore ride height and to get that wandering feeling out of the steering from a sagging front end.

I would buy this product again. A+++++++
I put the add-a-leaf in my 2008 ford fx4 and I got the lift I was looking for. Plus now I can haul more and tow more...

Needed 2 inches to level out my 1995 f150 but only got an inch. Not too stiff though.

added height vs. stiffness
I needed to lift the rear to match the added lift for the front to clear larger tires. It certainly did the job of adding height to the rear, but stiffened the ride considerably. If a comfortable ride is what you are looking for, this is not the product for you, however, if you don't mind a little stiffness, this was an easy way to add a couple of inches to your ride and allow a heavier payload. I am very satisfied with the product.

I searched and called many places trying to increase my suspension without putting a 4" lift. Everyone wanted to sell me blocks. Blocks would just lift my front end but would not add travel. The stock spings only have 3/4" from the bump stops which makes the ride bumpy. One call to 4 wheel and they solved my problem.

Im looking to do a pro comp 2.5 leveling kit on a 2005 F150 4x4. will doing this add leaf system help with making the truck even more level.

Adding the Skyjacker Softride Add-A-Leaf Rear SKYR3415 will raise the vehicle in the rear. The will defeat the installation of a leveling lift kit.
from Florida on
How wide are these.
Will they fit a 76 ford 250 4x4 highboy with 2 1/4 width rear spring.
Phillipsbe from on
The SkyR5005 is correct for your 1976 F250 Highboy, It is an add-a leaf that is about
the same thickness as the factory leaves. It will give a 1/2 to 3/4 inch of lift and a slight
increase in spring rate. The SKYR225 add-a-leaf kit for your truck has a thicker leaf with more arc and will lift the rear 1.5 to 2 inches and be stiffer. Both Skyjacker part number are 2.25 inches wide and are made for your 1976 F250
I read the reviews on this product and people said they did not get the center bolts with it. Does this kit come with everything you need to install?
Andrew from on
Andrew, They do come with the tie bolts. There is a foot note that the driver side will need new u-bolt due to not being long enough. hope this helps thanks for the question.
