Correct Your Steering With A Drop Pitman Arm So You Have No More Bump Steer To Worry About, Limited Lifetime Warranty
This Pitman Arm is the correct one for my 1979 GMC High Sierra...My Truck has a 3 inch Suspesion leafspring lift.and a 3 inch Body Lift...I run 35 inch Tires ...This Pitman arm went on Corectly and I have not had any issues with it...I puchesed another Skyjaker Pitman before and the splines stripped out ..It was not the right one..there are Two that come up for this make and model ..The other must be for the Jeep.. the difference will be in the conection in the lower part of the control Arm The other fits way to tight and is really hard to press on.Thus makeing The power steering box work too hard and strping out the splines,,,Stiff steering as well...I have not had any of these simptoms with this new Arm....
Installed 2" lift, this drop pitman reduced or nearly eliminated the bump steer
Good quality part. You don't want to cut corners on this stuff if you will still be driving on the road. Using it with a 9" lift on a 78 f150 and steers just the same as it did stock. Of course a drop this big will put a lot of stress on your steering box but without a high steer this is the best and safest option to keep steering geometry right, you don't want too sharp of a tie rod angle which will fail.
Replaced stock arm for lift and fit great.
It's spendy, but it does drop the tie rod end far enough to clear the front sump on the OM617 swap. I suppose it would work for other XJ's too...
you need to call and see what they have - they have nearly everything. If you put a lift on your truck you need this - I cheaped out and didnt get it, because of that the lift put extra pressures on other components which resulted in rebuilding the front end and having to replace this anyways.
Came in timely fashion and in stalled easy.
