I have a 81 k-5 It has a 6 inch lift . The axles are out of a 73 3/4 ton suburban . it retains the stock k5 steering box. will this pitman arm be enough drop for the lift i have, and will it bolt up on both side of the arm ?

no it is for a 2.5 to 4 inch lift. You should use an steering arm on the knuckle for a 6 inch kit. you can use the SKY CA100 or the EXP GM400

Does this include a new cross bolt?

You will reuse the factory bolt. Thank you.
do these arms have groves that match the gear on the bottom of gear box? i have one of these on my blazer it was slipping so i took it off it looked like it had groves at one time bit are stripped off...just didn't know if the gear box teeth cut grooves or if they already on there just worn out....

Yes, the Skyjacker Pitman Arm will have a spline (grooves) that matches the vehicles steering gear box. Thank you for the question.
