These Tie Rod Assemblies provide virtually 1-ton strength with factory tapered ends, so no modification is required. The tube is 1.25 inch OD SAE steel with .25 inch wall thickness. This is the perfect solution for preventing bent tie rod tubes from off roading with larger tires. Complete kits with dust shields, castle nuts, cotter pins, jamb nuts and zerk fittings.
Challenging to find the correct mounting brackets for the steering stabilizer. Perhaps the web site could offer a few options related to tie rod and axle tube diameters.
Great products easy install big difference in handling five stars
Fairly easy to install but could have used a little better instructions. Overall, very pleased.
had to replace all the tie rod ends, so I decided to upgrade. glad I did, this is a great kit. everything is included. install was easy and directions are good. I did have to adjust the steering stops so that the tie rod would not come in contact with the differential and the steering stabilizer. I have not noticed any adverse affect to the turning radius. I have had no problems negotiating the trails I wheel on.
This is a great heavy duty replacement for your old YJ or wrangler, however just be aware that you will have to buy a thinner steering damper so that it clears the tubing while steering, mounting brackets for the new location on drag link are included I wheeled them for a year hard on 35" Super Swamper LTBs with only one tie rod weakened at the end of the season I am running a 89 Wrangler 8.5" lifted, shackle reversal, detroit lockers, cammed 4L, many other mods
Q: How do I remove the crimped tie rod ends? Answer this question
A: The crimped end is not really made to be removed. If you really must do it will take heat and pry bars, not a easy job and not suggested. Modifying will void the warranty.
