This pair of custom designed black powder coated mirror relocation brackets from Rugged Ridge bolt into existing holes on the windshield relocating your mirrors off the door. The perfect add-on accessory for those off-road adventures where you do not want your doors. Each bracket kit comes with a special paintable filler plate to cover up the hole created when you remove your mirrors. Sold in pairs.
These also don't interfere with my existing windshield mounted KC Lights....love them so far. Others have indicated they dont with well when doors are installed. I plan to move the mirror back to the door in that case and just leave the brackets installed...they don't look bad.
you cant see when the passenger door and window is on. only bad thing
I bought these for my 2002 Jeep Sahara. They fit perfectly and the black finish actually blends in with the dark green of the Jeep so well that the brackets are barely visible.
Great design and very affordable. However, this is the second Rugged Ridge product that I bought without instructions. While the mirror relocation bracket installation is pretty straight forward, a little guidance would've been nice. Hints for removing old brackets and the intended location of supplied washer would help since it's much larger than the bolt at the bottom. A simple diagram would help tremendously. It's a nice and inexpensive solution for moving the mirrors, but with soft top doors you can't see the passenger mirror and you can only see a little over half of the driver's mirror. They are great with the top door half removed. The thing I dislike the most is the fact that the brackets don't have the indentions at the top for the mirrors stops that the OEM brackets do. The mirror just sits on top of a flat area and looks kind of goofy, but I am picky. My biggest problem was that my '99 mirrors would move every time I slammed the door shut. The relocation brackets solved that problem w/o having to spend much more money on new mirrors. I like the brackets and they are a GREAT price, but had I done more research I would just go with new mirrors on the doors and purchase additional hinge drop in mirrors for driving without doors. Overall though, I'm pleased with the purchase.
This is a very sturdy well designed product. The most difficult part was removing the screws from the windshield frame.... I actually broke a torx head in the process and had to drill out the screw. The only hassle, I see, is having to save the spacers (in a safe place) while not using.
